In October of 2014, Patek Philippe presented a collection of pieces that the world had been waiting 25 years to see. It was Patek who in 1989 launched the very concept of commemorative watches with its 150th anniversary collection and who today still garners more attention than anyone else in the world of haute horlogerie. It is clear that Patek made this watch, just because they can. It may be vulgar and unwearable. But what a true horological masterpiece! As a watch collector, I can only dream of owning a Patek. what an amazing piece of art! pure detail - Absolute stunner - what Patek is all about. I really hope the purchase of the watch appreciates this beautiful piece for all it has to offer and isn't just a fat cat banker from wall street, CEO, or a rich Arab wanting to show off his wealth as opposed to admiring the beauty of this piece. honnestly the Journe "Grande Sonnerie" is much more wearable because it does not carry a perpetual calendar. The Journe "Astronomic" (withe Tourbillon) and JLC Reverso "Hybris Mechanica" are repeaters + astronimical/calendars that are also more wearable. This watch as too much fucntions for its own good.
