Damn, I don't think I've ever said this before, but I just found my dream vehicle. And I'm not even a Jeep person. The irony that I love the crew cab aspect of this build while simultaneously think Jeep made a huge mistake not offering the gladiator in a short cab

My first brand new vehicle was a 1989 Jeep Wrangler with every option. The 4.2 l inline 6 was bullet proof but gutless. It was torquey but needed an extra 100 horsepower.

Never heard of ford putting a dana 44 in the rear?? They used a 9" in the 70s, 8.8 in the 80s, now the 8.8 out of an explorer was just a touch narrower than the factory jeep 8.25 or dana 30, but any rear axle from an f150 would be at least 3" to 6" wider, just wondering what was actually done there?

There are plenty of things I would've done differently to this truck, but these are giveaway trucks. We have to find something good, make it better and give it away within our budget and time frame. Gotta love the internet sleuths, you guys catch everything! But you are right, two lug nuts came off on the trail, didn't realize the studs on that side were half way stripped. We drove it like 40 miles home on those 3 lug nuts, replaced those two studs and got new lug nuts 👍
