Hog Father Pizza Shop Review (Louisville, KY)

Hog Father Pizza Shop just opened in the heart of Butchertown on Story Avenue. They specialize in pizza, but also have sandwiches and a decent selection of starters. According to their menu, the pizza is awesome, and “they will spoil you for all other pizza out there.” Their sandwiches are so good they “will make you wanna smack your momma.” Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I think the road construction on Story Avenue killed them. Plus it was on a one way street. East to get in but hard to get out.

Wow! That food looked so unique and good. I've never seen wings with vegetables on top like that. Were they pickled? Those fried veggies and ham sandwich looked good also. I wish I was down there so I could try it. I think Mary likes to give her father a hard time! Thanks for sharing.

The wings came with pickled onions, celery and awesome blue cheese chunks. Best blue cheese I ever ate. The ham and cheese had melted American cheese instead of mozzarella. It also had a really good honey mustard. It was actually the best item of everything I had. And yes, Mary enjoys being difficult!😀

I tried this place today. It was amazing. Thank you for reviewing it, I'd have never known it existed. We got the brussels sprouts and you need to go back to try those! They have the same sauce that's on the wings, but there's as much pork belly as there are sprouts and they were amazing, almost outshined the pizza, which was also excellent. Best side dish I've ever had at a restaurant tbh.

Awesome soo many pies in the Ville . I plan my Saturdays on your reviews . lol its fun and something to do. If you ever get a chance yo get off the beaten path , possibly the best Pie around is Jail House in Brandenburg !! Mask up but you can be seated . So Pandamic shouldnt hold you back.

Unfortunately it wasn’t because of the lack quality of their food. The food was great but the location is on a street that has been under construction for a long time and when you try to leave you have to exit into some back streets and try and navigate your way out. It’s too much to deal with for most people.

Try out Chester's pizza on Rt 4 in Fairfield Ohio they have been there for 60 yrs and it's the best pizza I have ever had,next day or so reheating it in a cast iron skillet the next day is even better.

I’m sorry, this place went out of business several months ago. Surprisingly, out of over 200 restaurants I have reviewed in the past three years, only four places have gone out of business. That’s actually an incredible stat considering restaurants gave been up against a pandemic. It appears I have had some pretty good recommendations.😀
