Hog Springs return of the Train - Evening Pig Rollcall

Join Elizabeth for the end-of-day guinea pig rollcall as we settle the residents of Hog Springs in for the night.
We are almost finished with our spring revamp of Hog Springs guinea pig village with the addition of this wild western themed train bridge where some rogue guinea pigs planted some dynamite and derailed the train!
The grass on the new hills is coming along nicely.

Exactly. Dont meed exotic animals to have a nice zoo. Can use live stock, local animals, even have a wildlife sanctuary part. But also have cool and interesting enclosers.

I loved the video this week, thank you. The blown up train bridge is a good idea - adds more to the scene!! I'm sure the train can't fall off the bridge...... Can you tell I'm neurotic? I loved the counting all the piggies in the inn at the end of the day 😊

The train is cool and the tunnels put in were well done, the whole enclosure is coming along nicely. If you like the Guinea pigs to use the houses away from Hogs Inn, stuff some hay and or treats in different buildings. Once they figure treats are stashed in the buildings, in the mornings they will run to find treats, then they'll hang out in the buildings... Another reason they might not like the buildings, if they all have one opening, they don't like going into a "hide" as they need a second escape route.

When I saw it when I visited I didn't think of quite as dramatic a story line as it having been blown up, I just thought it was run down and abandoned, but I love lucys enthusiasm for the whole storyline and details! Cant wait to visit again and hopefully seen guinea pigs using the tunnels.

You start a garden in the fenced in areas, Kale grows like weeds once a certain size, potted plants drop in a hole, let them chew, pull pots out cover holes or replace with other plants..

It's great that the piggies can free-range and eat the fresh grass. I'm wondering what happens on a rainy day, will the water end up in the tunnels? How about planting some herbs somewhere to entice them further away from their boarding house? I'm thinking of a half grown plant rather than planting seeds. Or, putting the potted plant in the enclosure, and removing it for a recovery period before they demolish it completely. Then bringing the re- grown plant back a few weeks later. You could make a party video of them chomping on the herb plant/s.

I cannot relay how much your videos and updates keep me focused from my mental health from ADHD, anxiety, deep depression and more.. (it’s not something I mention much even though my psychiatrist and psychologist have said I have nothing to be ashamed for.) Sorry I digress, the zoo, Maxine and all her staff are so motivational and positive, I love how until a few years back I never knew of this zoo but now I use the app to watch the snow leopards ‘live’, I joined the zoo site to watch other zoos around the world, The whole place is one big adventure BUT with the main thing in sight, the animals, the animals and then the animals…. Love these vlogs please make more if you get time, everything is interesting and I am sure other followers would love more updates.
