Are you talking about changing the thumb studs? And what? Sanding down the FRN? I get the sharpening choil though. Yes, I would like to see the results of your regrinds. I like a thin blade. I’m not out there chopping wood with my knives....lol.

I’m loving mine after making the fixes you mentioned. The clip was a hot spot in my small hands. A Bugout clip works great and is much more comfortable. For the price and who the proceeds support, I don’t think there’s a better option.

They scaled down everything but the clip. I agree with you on the hardware. I'm exchanging mine for the orange, going to dye it denim blue or black.

I’d love to see more of Brian’s (transparent knives) regrinds! I was planning on sending off either the deka or s90v mini freek to him so I’d love to see how those would’ve turned out! Side note: I talked with him for a slipjoint, which he politely declined. He’s a very lovely person!

The122979 I have a mod video that may be uploaded in the next day or so and once I get the mods done to the mini RSK I’ll try to do a video on it as well👍🏻 I plan to do a video of the 3 knives I got regrinds on since several of y’all were interested in seeing them 👌🏻
@The1229794 жыл бұрын
Stassa23 Nick, I would especially like to see what you do under the clip. With the rough scales. I’ve been on the fence with this knife for that reason. Thanks
@The_Murmanator4 жыл бұрын
I removed the clip on mine and spent less than a minute with a piece of sandpaper taking the sharp tips off the scales. I agree with you that they are way too aggressive, but it’s an easy fix although one that should have been addressed during the manufacturing process. Other than that, I think it’s an amazing knife for the price!
@Stassa234 жыл бұрын
Mr. Love I agree 100% and I’m glad to hear that the aggressive texture didn’t just bother me because I am always weary to talk about that because I know my hands are already messed up and super sensitive but I’m
@Stassa234 жыл бұрын
Mr. Love I’m also really enjoying mine I’m glad they decided to go with the thinner blade stock. I plan to fix the scales and extend the sharpening choil on mine and eventually I’ll probably send it to get a regrind because I go my Deka done and it cuts like an absolute laser beam now 👌🏻

That oval on the scale on mine is the same way. I put a bug out clip on but I think that spot needs some attention so it slides in and out of the pocket better. I really like the knife though. Nice review, as always Stassa

Great vid. I always enjoy your take on knives. What are you using to smooth the scales? It sounds like a good vid. How to fix or modify your knife in detail. What do you think?
@Stassa234 жыл бұрын
Manny Z I’ll probably start sanding by hand and if that doesn’t cut it I’ll use a slack belt on my grinder. I’ll try to see if there is a way I could do a DIY video showing the mods it’s just really hard because my lighting in there is terrible for video and sanding g10 gets really dusty especially on the grinder and I don’t want to mess up my camera so I’ll see if I can come up with a good method 👌🏻
@mannyz53074 жыл бұрын
@@Stassa23 It's obvious that I know nothing about working on knives. Yeh, dusty and dirty from sanding. I guess some stills after stopping at strategic points in the process. Good for us to see, not so good if you want to finish in a timely manner. Before and after pictures are probably best. With an explanation of the process. Thank you for taking the time to answer my stupid question.

Great review. I always enjoy your take on a blade. I personally find the Ritter Mini much more pleasant to cut with than the Bugout because of the rounded handle. My biggest gripe is the rough G10 and the clip going in and out of the pocket. There is the pocket destroyer sound. I completely agree with you there. On the orange the match the pivot and the rest of the hardware.
@davidmarshall77524 жыл бұрын
Just pre-ordered an orange one-- wish there was a Mini orange w/ black blade.

Great review. You hit all the talking points I look for in a review. This is now on my list. Do you like the deka or this better?
@Stassa234 жыл бұрын
EDC elephant there both great knives the main difference in the two is the Deka has flat scales and a clip that caused a hot spot for me a the RSK has 3D contoured scales and a good deep carry clip but the scales are way more aggressive in that middle part. So if I had to chose one or the other I’d have to go with the Mini RSK since the proceeds go to support the Knife Rights organization 👌🏻

osmosis 01 I had 2 followers f the original ones from Benchmade I had the S30v version and the M390 one and I loved them as well. I preferred the aesthetics of the the blade on the Benchmade a little more but the mini Benchmade version was just barley to small for my hands and the Hogue mini fits my hand absolutely perfect so that was a huge win for me 👌🏻 I also love how this knife purchase is helping to fund Knife rights 👍🏻
