It definitely seems like Avalanche Software wanted to go all out for this game, being their first independent project since WB acquired them, but were most likely pressed for time with the 2 delays and had to cut some things. Since HL was so successful, I'm sure they will bring some of these features into play in the inevitable sequel. It would be nice to get some of these in the current game, but only time will tell.

I absolutely agree and I think the ending of the game and Sebastain's quest definitely shows a sudden press for time. The ending is just so sudden it'd like a slap. You can tell they definitely planned a LOT more moral dilemma with as you learn about your power and try to help Ann, likely together. Makes me sad it didn't get fully done here though! It just rips you out of the world... You've given me hope though! Can't wait for the sequel! 😊

Yes, I noticed those errors too. I believe what we're seeing here is an early iteration of the worldbuilding, before the story and characters were properly solidified. And because the content was cut, they never bothered to update it to fit with the released game.

Just saw on reddit some share cut content files and they cutted alot of cool spells. I mean they cutted fiendfyre, vera verto, augementi, appiration..there is also some kind of strange spell in the slots which people say are definitely the patronus charm but an incorporeal version. Then a few transfiguration spells were also cut, can't remember the rest of spells but its alot. I hope they add these spells in future updates or dlc cause I mean fiendfyre is one epic spell. Yeah sure it is difficult to control but still its a badass spell.

Yeah the information is false on many of those counts. Sebastian and Anne being twins they cannot have different birth seasons or social classes.

It's not just Ominis, but multiple students with wrong info. It says Amit is good at DADA, when we know from the Goblin mine mission, that he is clearly not, plus Professor Hecat is thinking about ways through which she could improve Amit in his dueling. Amit should have had Potions/Astronomy as his excelled subject. Then it says Garreth is good at herbology, when in the game he isn't even that class, but we know Garreth is good at potions. Natsai is shown to be good at Beasts here, when in the game she isn't even at the class, but Natsai is known to be good at Charms. Samantha Dale is a Muggleborn here, when in the game she isn't. She comes from a well known Wizarding family. They even have got most of the Professors wrong.

One thing that bugged me right from the start was when the player character has to introduce themselves to three house mates of whom only one is considered to be your companion. Now it makes totally sense that the devs had originally planned to have you introduce yourself to the peeps that would stick with you throughout the game. Such a shame that they tossed this aside, probably because of lack of time. I would have preferred Garreth over Natsai and Ominis over Sebastian. I really hope that they will bring the other companions back into the game as they've had planned from the start!

I love the game, it's all i ever wanted from this franchise since i was a kid, but it really does feel incomplete sometimes. Honestly, the only feature that i feel they really OWE us is the companion one (+a ravenclaw companion questline, it makes no sense that they cut out 1 house out of 4 from such a big thing in the game) cause it is heavily implied during the first hours of the gameplay. They add this, and it would be a 10/10 FOR ME.

Yeah Everett as is has like nothing going for him other than that one time in the flying class you interact with him. Samantha is in the Accio game so thing and has her own side quest where you go to her family’s tomb. She seems more of a major character than Everett. But with that being said, who knows what they originally intended with Everett. He may have originally had more going for him.

I disagree. Everett is the only Ravenclaw in the common room during introductions (and generally) who likes a commotion and who likes to play around and is not good at studying. He also plants a stink bomb during the Ravenclaw introductions, because his targets appear to be quite stuck up (which is apparently the biggest flaws in Ravenclaws, “being stuck up and hate to be in the wrong”). He also is a rule breaker and it is hinted at, that his family or he is pretty poor. He also seems to be a good flyer and in some sort of competition with Imelda but is limited by Kogawa and the fact that he cannot afford a broom. The “after Ranrok” and the “true end”cut scene also hint that there was way more story planned for Everett as he is shown when Weasley says “the most loyal of friends” during the memorial speech and we see him copying Amit and worried infront of the Boggart cabinet after Natty.

Hermione loves to study but hate to admit your mistakes, her arrogance was one of the things that made the Sorting Hat send her to Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw. The fact that these files exist and that the game is moddable means that even if the devs never add these things later on, *someone* will. Look at games like the Elder Scrolls series. Morrowind was released in 2001 and people are STILL modding it even now in 2023. Modders keep games alive for literal decades and smart devs realize that.

This is fascinating! Must be quite frustrating for the devs to not be able to implement so much of their vision into the final game. Likely due to executive meddling and the game being rushed out the door because WB wanted to see if it would be profitable. I question how accurate or applicable some of the data here is though, since at the end looking through the character database there are some very clear errors, like Poppy Sweeting being listed as a third-year, Anne and Sebastian having different birthdays, or Ominis being listed as halfblood. I think a lot of this data was probably from a much earlier iteration of the worldbuilding, before the game's story and characters were properly finalised. And since they were cut from the game the mistakes were never corrected.

They even have a lot of professors wrong! Satyavati Shah is shown as Halfblood here, when in the game she is a Muggleborn. Professor Hecat is shown to be potions professor, when in the game she is a DADA professor. Ronan is shown as beasts prof here when he in the game is charms prof. Garlic is shown to be Halfblood and beasts profesor, when in the game, she is a Muggleborn and Herbology professor.

That sounds like so much of a better game. Hogwarts Legacy is the most dead open world game I've ever played. It I wasn't a huge Harry Potter fan, the game would be no fun. Having no consequences for being evil makes no sense. Even the very first GTA back in 1997 made the cops chase you.

There’s also quidditch, especially since they’re a small quidditch pitch in the south of the map it makes sense they had plans for implementing the game. Also they make a point about sneaking around at night so you don’t get caught. However after basically 2 quests that feature this, you’re free to roam the castle at night.

I think Social Heritage was meant only for how NPC react to your character. The game takes place during a time when the Blacks and other purebloods of the wizarding world were discriminating against mixed bloods. I think the system was meant to immerse you more into the game. For instance if your Slytherin your a pureblood and therefore would be seen in a favorable light by other pureblood while mixed would probably be less friendly or rude to you. It doesn't seem like something of much use to the player to change, more something tied to the house you choose to immerse you more into the life of your chosen character. Maybe the wealth status would determine a starting currency amount but other than that it seems like a system to tell Npc how they should react to the player

i honestly wish there was more social interactions in the game. like when i was in school and i’m sure when everyone else was too, there was drama and bullying and shit talking behind each other’s backs. not to mention, getting dragged into drama for no reason…they’re literally high school sophomore age in the game so, i was really expecting some craziness. oh, it’d be nice too if we actually knew our parents and family and if we celebrated holidays in the game by going to our family’s house or by celebrating with friends. and also, we were supposed to have animagus forms??? that would’ve been so cool omfg

How can Aesop Sharp be pureblood when he’s young and change to halfblood when he’s a teen (in school)? I don’t think it changes if you or a relative gets married, right? Was a muggle relative discovered or something? If that’s the case, I have a hard time seeing him and Professor Black as friends, though Black may convince himself that Sharp is actually pureblooded. Or perhaps Black became more concerned with blood status as he aged, but was friends with Sharp before and sort of grandfathered him in (a “he’s one of the good ones” sort of thing). Then there’s the interaction Sharp has with the MC disguised as Black. Sharp seems kind of subservient or formal. I think maybe they changed their minds about the NPC’s relationships a bit, because they don’t seem like friends there. His (short, albeit) conversation with Matilda Weasley didn’t seem like one between rivals, either, though because of some of Ronen’s comments I can see those two being rivals due to their views on teaching. Interesting note: he was, according to this table, pureblooded and lower class when young and halfblooded and upper class when “teen” and adult. Family moved up in the world of money and down in blood status? Adopted by rich halfbloods, perhaps? Another interesting note: In the game, I noticed He refers to Professor Hecat as “Professor Hecat” in a letter in Hecat’s room, Professor Fig as “Fig” when talking to him, and Professor Weasley as “Matilda” when talking to her. I wonder why that is.

I think maybe with the economic status and blood status differences are due to the devs deciding between two different options for his character and deciding on halfblood and upper class, due to adult Sharp being halfblood and upper class

Same. I had a feeling Sebastian would pestwr me how i beat him and i wasnt surw about natty. My first playthrough was a ravenclaw. I wanted to go witj someone from my house. And i wish you could do real shopping with them too! If i had come with Samantha, she would comment when we visitrd pippins shop, magic neep and the other herb shop. Everett would have mentioned something about zonkos and sponwitches. And so on. Weird how our companion deserts us to stand on the middle of town. What if we were actually cornwred by rookwood?

I don't understand why they hate Omnius so much😂 I can't say he's my favourite character, but he's a very nice, kind, caring guy who cares about his friends, a totally positive mate. Speaking of favourite characters, I don't understand why they made Sharp a negative character in the eyes of the students. He is literally the embodiment of that teacher whose lessons you go to with enthusiasm, even though his subject is boring and difficult.

Which unused content, specifically? Because it’s not possible to add all of them back to the game, and I'm not a mod creator so I wouldn't know how to anyway. As far as I'm aware, the ONLY major cut/unused feature that that can be added back to the game (via mods) is the companion feature, and even then it’s not a complete feature. I assume you’re not familiar with modding? I suggest going to NexusMods.com and making an account there. They have a lot of mods for you to peruse through, see if any of them interests you. Here's a link to the Hogwarts Legacy section: www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/popularalltime If you want to add the companion feature back to the game, for example, you’ll need to install these two mods: 1. God I wish they would cut most of the pointless open world for these, actual rpg features, letting us roleplay as a student, give us choice and consequence, interact with the our friends, have companions and be able to go to class acording to schedule and such. This game was such a dissapointment. Maybe now with the modding support coming out officially, more stuff could be added into the game, we already have sort of a companion mod and sort of a class system, with modding tools it could only get better.
