For some reason the game stopped Sebastion storyline after shadow of the relic, do you have to learn the curses in order to progress? I'm level 37 and at the end of the game, theres no other quests besides the final one and I still haven't gotten any kind of prompt to move on to the next mission from sebastion.

Honestly the dialogue choice where you support Sebastian right after leaving the catacomb and say he did the right thing makes me crack up. It's just so... enabling and manipulative. "You were BRAVE Sebastian! I would have done the same..... if only I knew how....." Gave such 'Idc what happens to you, just teach me your Dark Magic spells" vibes. Made me laugh when convincing Ominis to help you get into the Scriptorium too-- the emotional manipulation your character just whips out is impressive. Very fitting if done by a Slytherin or Ravenclaw MC too

I wish they had some type of buddy system so you could take one or two of your Hogwarts friends with you on missions so it won't feel so lonely out there in the world. It would be great taking Sebastian out on missions with you, or both him and Ominus. I get a feeling that despite being blind, Ominus is more than able to defend himself.

And imagine even after not selling him out or anything, Sebastian becomes a mute at postgame and won't talk to you ever again. Even Ominis blabbers to you everytime he passes you by chit chatting about trolls or the scriptorium to even bad-mouthing other characters like Duncan, Lucan and Imelda.

No joke- I am 27 and somehow haven't gotten the invite for Shadow of Discovery. I only have the single Crucio spell. I have just a single step left in the main quest for the 4th speaker- so really concerned I broke something. Check owl often, maybe I'll head to undercroft JIC hes there chilling. I feel like this is the most convoluted quest sadly- when the anticipation for it was huge.

Sebastian isn't a bad guy, but right now I have a feeling he will become one, he's broken, betrayed, yea he shouldn't kill that guy, but he could at least give him a chace, if it wont work, we are a main character so the power of plot armor is strong enough XD

If Sebastian happens to be in the sequel this is how I think would play out: If you turn him in he will become a Death Eater, isolated in Azkaban and tortured would been enough If you don't turn him in he probably would redeem himself with MC and Ominis help, at the end of the game he states that he would spend every day trying to be better. I hope he follows up on that

People need to be patient. Sometimes you gotta accomplish side or main quests for dark spell quests to show up. This depends on a lot of things so impossible to tell when but soon. It’s not possible to go learn dark spells path only and one spell immediately after another.

@@sharingan761 I dont completely understand ur comment. Imma try to guess what youre saying. It depends on if you do the quests before or after you finish the game. If I were you, I’d finish the necessary quests first. Then at the end Im sure the paths will align on what you should do. Sorry if that didnt help.

Sebastian’s quest availability is a bit unique. If you haven’t heard from him after a day or two then you have to do more of the main story. His final dialogue is only available after the main story

Can't say who is the bigger sociopath / psychopath in this questline - Solomon - for losing control and lashing out in an uncontrollable destructive rage on his nephew Sebastian - for seeking out forbidden relics, constantly breaking rules, not understanding the consequences of his actions and believing that sweet talk & denial will let him get away with anything The MC - for enabling Sebastian's recklessness, shutting down Ominis and Anne when they are clearly the sane ones here and clearly see the futility of Sebastian's quest - all so that they can learn torture, brainwash and murder spells I would pick Natty / Poppy over Sebastian any day.

Out of curiosity. I'm trying to do a good wizard playthrough right now and planning to do a dark wizard play through some other time. Does refusing to learn the dark arts stop Sebastian quest from progressing further?

From what I understand from watching one of the playthroughs that has no commentaries, you can simply pick the response that allows you to learn the spells, like from what we saw here. It is odd since I thought this is a moral sort of game, but all though out the player can play Sebastian against Ominis and still end up with this eventual outcome as long as the player has the right level. The only thing I do know is that if you use the three spells in combat without affecting you anyway when you are alone except if you use any of the spells when have a companion with you in a side quest.

Choices in this game have absolutely no effect on anything. Nobody reacts or says anything about you using dark arts, so you might as well learn them.

@@cmdrdredd you don’t really need to know that. Like after finishing a required main quest almost instantly he will contact you by owl or your quest log will include another one of his quests. Trust me, you won’t miss a single quest of his the game seems to favor him over the others

Wait a few days in the menu, if you still don't get an owl, it means you need to progress levels or through the mian quests :)

No. Regardless of your house, Sebastian’s story is one of the main side quests of the game.

The only difference is if you didn't pick slytherin you don't interact with onmis until he catches you leaving the undercaft

if you send him to prison, you cant get the spells. if you dont turn him in, he will be in the undercroft later and you can learn all the unforgiveables from him then. to get any of this you have to finish the final main story mission.

I hated his Uncle, wish I could’ve offed him myself. And for everyone against Sebastian, how many goblins and people did you kill horribly? I honestly DON’T like Sebastian as a person at all but he’s a great character. When I played for the first time on the 7th, I had a little disappointment, Sebastian's face was changed, the nose and the freckles that did not exist, not to mention that there is nothing charismatic about him, Poppy manages to have much more charisma than him :/ um shot in the foot in my personal opinion!
