I've just discovered, accidentally by the way, that the Hohem M7 will soon be released to the public any time. Thank you for posting video examples of the different conditions that the M7 may be used .... Especially of the one where there were multiple people and an autonomous vehicle all moving about and the M7 was STILL locked onto you! I was just about to pull the trigger for the M6 but NOW will definitely go for the M7. I AM ABSOLUTELY EXCITED IN HOW YOU OBTAINED YOUR UNIT & THE COST? Cheers!

The M7 is so much better than the M6 in nearly every respect..I own an M6 from soon after it was launched, and it has been excellent with no issues on Error messages or failing Gimbal locks as some owners have experienced. My M6 has been excellent, and the Ai Tracking module proving a big help for solo video making, and I also purchased the Hohem Extension Pole, Handle and Mic01 accessories which have all proved great additions for video making. Having built up a good relationship on the Hohem member sites with other users and Mia Liao from Hohem over the course of my M6 ownership, Hohem so kindly offered me an early M7 kit to evaluate and report on as an amateur enthusiast posting in the Hohem member groups. Of course I was delighted with their out of the blue offer, and can wholeheartedly confirm the M7 is an amazing product that improves on the few M6 early production weaknesses such as the Gimbal Locks..the M7's are a completely new and very robust design,cand improved the phone clamp further to accommodate ever bigger phones. Then they blew all the competition out of the water by adding an enhanced Ai Tracking module, with the Camera resolution doubled to 2MP with Video transmission giving substantially improved Tracking performance and Gesture response and a more powerful LED floodlight. Plus it now physically locks to the M7 Gimbal arm, requiring 2 buttons pressed to release..It is now completely secure and cannot be accidentally knocked off, which could happen on the M6 where it was only magnetically attached. When this is coupled with the detachable 1.4" Colour OLED touchscreen controller with built-in Joystick and Mode control buttons and Video preview, without requiring any App to operate..It completely changes the solo video creation landscape for the better! I can't recommend the Hohem Isteady M7 enough..No other Phone Gimbal currently comes close in my opinion..!

Mine turned up yesterday … I already own the M2 and M6(one of the motor locks failed on the M6 after a year so I gave it to a buddy) Great kit.

That's pretty comprehensive... thank you. Can you use the main lenses to do first person footage or is it only available using the screen sided lens, or does it use the tracking module cam at only 2mp. ?

The Ai Tracking module on the M7 works totally independent from your phone and camera and doesn't require the use of any App to operate the Gimbal or transmit video feed from its inbuilt 2MP camera, also used for Gesture recognition and Tracking both People and Objects. Your Phone Camera will record your Video from whichever camera you select on your phone as normal. The Ai Tracking module Video preview is totally independent. You can even easily adjust the Video preview screen on the Remote to mirror the exact same view your phone camera is seeing..this is a great feature, as of course the 2MP camera on the Ai Tracking module is on a different plane to that of the camera on your phone so the 2 do not necessarily match each other, until you set the correct position from a simple procedure on the Remote controller..I have made a short Video included in KZbin and the Hohem M6 Facebook page showing how it's done..!

These gimbals look great but their manufacturings standards are garbage. I had multiple issues with my #Hohem M6. #Hohem know about those issues and chooses to do nothing. I'll never buy another #Hohem product.

Sorry to read of your experiences. I bought my M6 as a regular customer just after the original launch date, have used it extensively and never had any issues with failing Gimbal locks, Error 03 messages or anything else, and found the build quality and materials used to be robust and reliable in my use experience. The new M7 is however a totally superior product in every way..clearly Hohem reviewed all the customer feedback from M6 owners and have produced an amazing product in the M7. The new Gimbal Locks for all 3 Axis are much more robust slider switches compared to the M6. The M7 Ai Tracking module is substantially improved with its new 2MP Camera for very responsive Gesture and Tracking performance, and now physically locks onto the camera clamp making it completely secure, and of course the amazing Video feed to the new 1.4" Detachable OLED colour touchscreen Remote. This Detachable Remote controller is a game changer for solo content creators like me, enabling full Gimbal control and Video preview from up to 10m from the M7 Gimbal..including the ability to select your Tracking subject with a double tap on the Remote touchscreen..it's a fantastic benefit.. Then you have the robust, built in Extension rod and substantial tripod foot for amazingly easy creative shooting, 500g weight carrying capacity and full Settings control from the Remote Controller with onscreen information and selection.. The M7 is a brilliant product ..no one else currently can offer anything close in the phone Gimbal market.
