hohem iSteady Q | 2-Axis Selfie Stick Tripod Gimbal

I love this for what it is. It's an extremely compact, $30 selfie stick/one axis gimble/tripod. It even has an AI sensor! WTH! *AI is much smoother than typical app tracking in some uses). I also have a $160 and $400 gimble for use with a camera, running, and/or special lenses on my phone. This Hohem iSteady Q is more convenient and an extremely good value. I use it for selfie videos, tripod videos, group photos, Zoom meeting tripod, and so much more. The phone clamp even has a center slot that allows it to double as a cold shoe for a light for Zoom meetings. I'm not careful with it. It lives in my pocket or purse wherever I go. Love this!

This was amazing. Had the gimbal for two months and gave it a spin and the apps videos and tutorials were no where as good as what you did. Value content what more could you want? Thanks for making this and teaching me all the things it can do!!!!

Before ordering be sure to check to insure that your phone is listed as compatible. I have an older Samsung S9 and only a couple of features worked with the S9. As a result I had to return the Q that I purchased. Bummer, I was really looking forward to using it.

I'm glad Rodrick enjoyed this product and hope you do too if you choose to get one. I really wanted to like this product, but it was not meant to be. It wasn't calibrated out of the box and resisted becoming recalibrated, so all photos were 10 degrees off as I constantly fought the device to be at the correct angle. It takes way too long to power the device on, install your phone, launch the software, and have it all handshake together before extending the stick to take a shot. Double and triple clicking simply did not function at all, no matter how much I adjusted the speed between clicks, which stripped away all utility. Want to switch between photo and video? You're out of luck, since that takes a double click and double clicks simply do not work. What's the point in all the bells and whistles if it can only be used to snap a photo or switch video recording on and off. Maybe the facial recognition worked well. I wouldn't know, since the device loses a charge one hour after being unplugged from the wall. Do yourself a favor and just light your money on fire and throw it out the window while driving down the highway.

I have a Samsung S20. All of the features worked right out of the box for me. I keep it in my purse and am not careful with it. Maybe your unit was defective or a tutorial is needed? I have no connection with Hohem. I just love this product.

I have a question... I've just got this Isteady Q for the past few days.. most of the moment features are able to use. But except for the "panorama" and "clone me". Any idea or tutorial on doing it? I've try with the desktop mode but still unable to use it. While using the selfie/gimbal mode for sure it's unable. But with the desktop mode still I can't manage to do it. Any ideas on how to use this 2 feature? 😅

It's a one axis gimbal. It helps with stabilization if you are twisting the handle. Tjonk of it as a selfie stick/tripod on steroids. If you're bouncing around or shaking excessively, you'll need a 3 axis gimbal, which will be more expensive, even if bought used.

Not sure if something is wrong with mine or user error, but my phone doesnt stay straight. It has a natural tilt to the left when attempting to use the gimbal function.

I'd double check that your phone is as balanced as it can be when clamped to the device. Mine is top heavy so I have to adjust it a bit beyond centre point 🤞

I use it on my Samsung S20. Seems to fully function. My phone is larger with the case, so I have to clock the arm once into the 45 deg angle to use inception mode, but that's it.

Not unless you use a clamp of some sort. No 1/4-20 at the bottom. It sits atop a telescoping selfie stick with an attached folding tripod stand.

So I mounted my new s23 ultra in that follow mode. And it actually cracked my screen guard. Object tracking does not work. Face tracking does work. Also the double and triple clicks work , only ever so randomly. This is a pretty low quality product. Yes a $40 selfie stick is still too high. And as a 2 axis gimbal this is absolutely horrendous. If you wanna damage your phone, go ahead and insert it in that cheap plastic clamp.
