Why you shouldn't waste $45 on this useless accessory.

I use the Flex rack with the Rack-it when playing drums. It adjusts PERFECTLY to my embroucher. Once I have done the initial adjustment and found the optimum angle, I mark where it is. I also replaced the thumbscrews with locking hex nuts and carry a small ratchet in my kit. It travels flat until I set up. ALSO, any time I am using a neck rack, I like to have a shirt with a collar and I fold the collar over the back to stabilize. it. While playing guitar, I use a Harp Lock with a Hercules tilting mic stand so that I can lean into it without the harp running away. Most racks I have to bend to achieve the adjustments that come with the Flex Rack.

The knobs and nuts can come undone. Good luck finding or replacing them. I prefer the K&M rack.

my problem really is that when I lower it to the lowest position it is still too high. I want to be able to play down and then look up unobstructed and sing into a microphone . For my body I need to have the harmonica even lower

A another harmonica player on youtube compares this to a K& M rack and he said it was the hohner rack was noce and sturdy but too high so he couldn't really look down at his guitar or pull up to sing well. So ge thankfully has a friend who is a welder and he removed 4cm to make it shorter to not sit up so high then spray painted the sides black and you couldn't even tell it had been welded. And man alive it looked like it was much more comfortable. The harmonica player says it's much better now and it's not so high or in his face or in his way. So if you really want this and know somebody who can weld this for you, then perhaps check out his video on youtube.

I changed the springs to a softer spring i also put aback piece on drilled bottom piece bent 2 side pieces of metal as brackets drilled those stole a back piece from old rack so Now the softer spring makes it quicker to change harps the rack now has a back plate to stop harp from going to far in and is quicker changing harps much quicker its still just aback up rack[--but works pretty well I have a custom rack a guy made years ago thats GREAT I changed his design to be a standard spring load I also cut t 4 pieces of metal 3" long ,to make angle more I deal PERFECT ANGLE been using for over 30 years Once u get a rack at correct distance and angle u will wonder how u ever used a standard rack there horrible Pt being u will have to modify 'any rack' to be right I play 'room to move' 'rockin robin, R Piazza version' and a host of other fast songs my rack works GREAT FOR FAST If yr serious about rack playing --I hope yr handy with tools cuz to play right --u must tweak test retweak BUT ONCE U GET IT U WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY A STANDARD RACK I havent messed with mine for over 30 years Standard racks have the harp pointing 'up' or 'straight in'----up is horrible---straight in not ideal----slightly downward is what u want I tongue block and perse, i found both have there benefits try tongue blocking or even pursing on a harp pointing upward If au play strictly dylan neil young folky stuff its not as crucial but for accurate fast blues or rock it takes adjustment
