you can play Irish music on a one row box tuned in C ...but alone. Because you cant play in Key of D You can play many irish tunes on a one row box but it needs to be in D Key so you can easily play in D Bminor , G ( natural C missing but many irish tunes have not ) EMinor wich is very commun in Irish music A Key ( G sharp missing ) FA# minor ( very unusual in irish) music . But any way that IS a very good box to start ..you will just have to play thé Irish tunes one Key below C for D F for G G for A and the same for thé minor keys A minor for B minor D minor for E minor

Hi Jerry we had one of these in the 1950s...a real rugged instrument it never went out of tune and survived the odd fall.

Hi, there’s one for sale in Quebec City, however it’s in “A” key. How much different would it sound ? I like the sound of yours.

The A is the one lower than the C on this, so it will sound lower.
