Thank you for an excellent, brief but very comprehensive review of Hoi An. I am visiting Hoi An for the first time in two and a half week's time, and it has helped me a lot, especially with regards food and places to visit. I am actually visiting a friend of mine who is staying in Hoi An for a few months; but I will be going around myself some of the time.

excellent tour guide. Hoi An appears very very developed compared to the last time I was there more than a decade ago. You actually cover not just Hoi An but also two other tourist spots of Da Nang.

Hi, the driver was actually booked through the hotel and I think it was the hotels car and probably the hotels driver as well. So I don't have any recommendations I am afraid.

Hi, the trip to My Son temple ruins was through My Son Travel, booked directly on Tripadvisor. When going to Marble Mountain and the Lady Buddha I just booked the car and driver through my hotel and told them where I wanted to go. If you need help booking tours I think most normal hotels will help you with everything you need.

Hi, I suppose you mean Danang? 20 days is a long time, so I would probably split them but I would stay the longest in Hoi An. I am not a big fan of Danang myself.

There is a nice beach close to Hoi An, so if you like it quiet one option is to live close to that beach.

My hotel was around 80 EUR pr night, but you can get much cheaper (and expensive). You must do a search on hostels to find all alternative prices.

Yes some of it is a bit of a tourist trap, but still nice and worth going though.
