@@jangamecuber I would not recomend diamonds, they're strong but brittle, a hit with a diamond tipped shell and the tank would shatter like glass (not the entire tank of course, but a big chunk regardless) shiny titanium would look fancy and is better than steel in some areas.

@@Bitt3rSteel iSorrowProductions did this in a video, it involved lining up troops on the mountain ridges and just grinding the italians down until he can encircle and kill, then taking the smaller countries around him if you need ideas. It was modded so they had a focus but apparently works in regular game too.

Two ways to try this. One is to set up defences in the mountains and hope that yopu can keep the italians at bay and simply wait for the UK to come and help you when WW2 starts. Another one is you try rush for the ports, cut off all italian troops and whipe them out and then once again wait for the UK to join and start moving north and naval invade Italy. It's not easy but it's very doable. Then there's also the cheesy cheat way where you start as Italy, conquer Ethiopia and then release them and set it as "play as" :D

Great summary of my strat for the Restoration, glad you finally pulled it off and recorded it :) A few comments on the video: 1) The SCW lasted that long because you justified on Nationalist Spain early, which caused them to pull many divisions from the frontline to cover the border with you in Portugal, thus messing them up. This is why I didn't go for this option in my strat. It might be ok if you just want to restore Al-Andalus, but if you wanna go for the full challenge, that delay is going to put you in a worse position. 2) There is an improvement to get the necessary relations with Italy for lend-lease without spending PP on improving relations: you just ask for military access and that will give you extra +10 relations (shoutout to Gianco Castillo, one of my subscribers, for the idea) 3) For the rest of the challenge, there are alternative strats to avoid the grind war with the Axis until the very end of it, if I have enough time one of these days I'll do a continuation and show you :)

I love this run, it's so much fun and not complete RNG based so it actually feels fair. My best strategy is going fash and declaring war on Portugal as soon as I can, and then I beg the big boys for guns and they'll just give you boatloads for free. By the time the Spanish civil war is over, you'll have built a proper army, and I always wait to declare right after it ends because the victor looses their entire army and can't build another one for months. Instead of building guns, I build a transport plane and interwar fighters and just paradrop on a port, cause the Spanish and the Portuguese both have a navy but next to no air force. Once I've got the port I can flood my entire little army into Iberia and snake them both down. Boom, core the entire peninsula, and you're a major overnight and you play like Turkey or Spain from then on, play the big guys off of each other and take your time snowballing like a son of a gun until you take over the entire world.

It'd be a bit cool but not really worth it in my opinion, at this point it's mostly just grinding against german troops or waiting until you have nukes to break the lines. Late game wars are *not* interesting, especially without tanks.

I can tell this country just about drained your patience, but if you still got some left you should do a guide on the Ottoman Empire, it’s quite tricky since you end up fighting just about every faction in the game when going for achievements or even just map painting.

Very interesting video, thanks :) In the past I defeated Spain and Morocco in the first run, but it was much more tough, coz I capitulated them in 1946 when they are much more prepared. But victory was mine, thanks to land-lease, max collaboration, naval invasion and fast paratroopers strike into victory points :D

Hey Bittersteel, this was a real fun one. Took 5 restarts until I had the right RNG. But boy, after defeating the allies, coring half of north africa and annexing the british fleet there is no one stopping you! For myself, I would have never thought it possible to go to war with no factories and no weapons. Really like your formable nations videos! Next up: Turan. 😅

@@Bitt3rSteel According to the wiki, these are the states in Metropolitan France that Vichy starts with: Rhone Languedoc Limousin Auvergne Centre-Sud Corsica Provence Midi Pyrenees Alpes Savoy Take note: if Italy occupies Savoy, Alpes, Provence, or Corsica before Vichy is established, Italy annexes those states (as in, they OWN those states as occupied provinces). This means that you MUST defend the Italian border before the Third Republic falls if you want to keep those. As for colonial France: You keep your African holdings (make sure to take the focuses to core North Africa before WW2), Syria, Madagascar, and French Indochina. Keep divisions on your states that border the Allies, because Free France can unlock border wars to take them from you. Also, Japan will demand Indochina at some point, and because Germany garuntees both of you, they won't actually try protecting you if you say no.

I wish that they would change the peace deal mechanics a bit. There should be more war score for taking core territory or something. And Naval actions should contribute to war score as well. Just like strat bombing does.

All they would need to add is a system where you also gain contribution by killing enemy troops. Good players really suffer this since you take low casualties but kill a lot of enemies and that always results in low score. With this system you would gain equally much contribution by killing as well as taking losses.
