Late to the party, but there's sometimes a trick with those focuses. I don't know about the generic tree, but the South African tree for sure changes the location of the added factories if you don't control the provinces it normally lists. But that isn't the case in the United States if you are in a civil war where California secedes. The focus still lists California for dockyards.

As long as Austria, Czechoslovakia and Hungary all exist, this will be possible. As for Germany, you can just puppet them if you need to.

my advice - ALWAYS ask for convoys in your lend-lease begging operation. all of them will give 30 convoys per tick

If you don't wanna deal with the funky exploit with borders in vichy france, you can simply declare on france while they are fighting germany, so you get the levant before vichy france gets formed, then push through the suez and wait for italy to lose its territory in libya. The only potential problem you might run into is taking cyprus, but if you've been building aircraft, you'll be able to acheive air superiority, and thus paradrop onto the island. Alternatively, if you take the rest of north africa, and greece gets capitulated, the allies no longer have any ports in range of cyprus, so naval superiority becomes much easier to achieve. If their fleet gets stuck in the mediterranean, you can just damage them, and then port strike them as they try to repair in cyprus (they will also be out of supply if they put fleets in port, because their convoys can't reach cyprus). Still, I'm glad i watched this guide, as i learned some new things that make this campaign easier and less tedious for me in two ways: I now know of a way to capitulate romania without involving the axis, and i also don't have to fight italy to be able to form persia (because i didn't know about the mechanic with military access, involving occupation). Italy, in particular, was a massive thorn in my side, since i would have to go to war with them prematurely, so as to prevent them from joining the axis, as i would eventually need to go to war with them for the dodecanese, and the "libya" region.

I love the faction kicking trick. It’s out I nab the balkans for a Byzantium run. You get Romania to annex Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. And then all their spare manpower and guns are tied up in garrisons. You can do some quick encirclements and kill them so fast.

That's pretty much impossible. None of the nordic countries are willing to join unless they're in a common war with you and even then they tend to prefer joining the allies instead and Finland tends to join the axis because it's the soviets attacking who usually also fight the germans. I just don't see it happening.

I just kinda attacked iraq,saudi arabia,afghanistan,turkey then declared war on britain with 14 4’s and 10’s(full infantry) researched infantry artlillery decryption and planes and paratroopers and that did it for me,allthough could’ve been better if the ussr held back the germans at leqst a little bit,they got completely stomped but it is what it is

Don’t know, trying it right now. However, these are things you can’t do anymore, for one you can’t use a paratroopers to invade Vichy France through your allies’ territories anymore because they are neutral. You can try naval invasion but that is completely a luck based maneuver. And the Vichy French Fleet which is at least four times larger than yours and will be patrolling the Mediterranean. Next the lend lease strategy is dead so build up your military industry as a first priority you will be lacking guns for the entire game. Also your construction priorities when you first start a new game is to build one military factory, one airfield on the state bordering Turkey, railway link your ports to the rest of the rail network, and build forts on your Iraq border (specifically places where the Iraq army can attack in three directions). The civil war will erase any construction your on so don’t try to build another factory after the one military factory at the start of the game and no naval base or supply hub. Also follow the directions in this video when preparing for the civil war. Don’t prolong your civil war preparations, the name of game is speed and siphoning your equipment only works twice so the longer you wait the more difficult the civil war will be. Don’t click on the recovery from civil war decision, it’s not necessary nor helpful as it completely stunts your political power and you need that as much as military experience and infantry equipment for this run. After the Iraq war, you’re going to need an army of 36 divisions to defeat Turkey, also research and deploy four 12 width mountaineers. For the Turkish war you’re gonna have to draw them into your country and encircle them twice. Not once, not thrice but twice so you can have an easy time invading Asia Minor. Now, with the war with Romania let the Bulgarians retreat further into their country and let the Romanians cross the river but don’t let Bulgaria capitulate. You can’t kick them out of your faction after they capitulate anymore. So just work with the Bulgarian to encircle and destroy the Romanian army and you’ll have an easy time invading Romania proper. Also increase your average division width from 12 to 18 to make them stronger and capable of fighting the more equipped Romanian Army. Be sure to defeat Romania before the Second Vienna Award because after Romania gives up Northern Transylvania they’ll join the Axis and call them into the war. This happens at the end of May 1940 so you have until then to win the civil war, the Iraq War, the Turkish War, and Romanian War. After all that I don’t know what to do, figuring that part out now.
