One thing I like about your EU4 videos you’ve made so far is you using historical language like “I reconciled my eastern forces to march east, and March of 1572 I was able to siege ‘SoandSo’” whereas most EU4 channels would say something like “I’m just gonna build some troops and take this this this and some war reps”. The slight roleplay element is a welcome touch in today’s age of brain rot.

This is an excellent presentation of your run and I loved every second of it. I loved your focus of what to highlight, choice and level of explanations and pacing. First time seeing your channel. No-brainer of a like and follow, which for me seldom is the case for EU4 content creators. I've now been watching for an hour straight and I just feel like commenting on something gameplay wise. 1:00:55 55:58 36:05 I have a hypothesis that AI nations tend to avoid risking naval invasions on islands (or provinces in general) that have a strong enemy navy (relative to their transport fleet) stationed. So in cases where you would want your allies to occupy the islands you should try to bait their navy out and sink them. That if given if my hypothesis is correct. So if I were in your situation I would leave a caravel and hide my navy in Constantinople and hopefully be able to bait out their navy that way.
@rooosgamingden16 күн бұрын
I think you might be right. The Knights didn’t have a fleet in Rhodes, so Austria didn’t feel threatened and landed troops. But during most of the Mamluk wars their fleet would get pushed to Cyprus as the mainland ports fell. One of the wars in particular I remember a significant Mamluk stack (22k I think?) sitting in Cyprus which could also very well inhibit AI landings. Thanks for the kind words, and glad you enjoyed the vid!
