HOI4 - Research Guide for Challenging Achievement Runs - Chile Mapuche

This is a HOI4 research guide for challenging achievement runs, particularly when playing nations with limited research slots.
The guide simulates the research portion of a Chile Mapuche playthrough to January 1, 1940. Mapuche often has only two research slots through the end of 1940. Mapuche also has an achievement that requires a near-world conquest. Maximizing the use of the available research slots is critical to a successful achievement run.

No, I did not delete your comment. Rarely, I've seen comments temporary hidden on the public page of the video due to being reviewed by KZbin, but I as video owner can still see the pending comment. I checked on my end and I don't see it pending or hidden, or available for me to approve. It's possible KZbin will post it later. You can also of course post it again, if you like. I don't think I would delete a comment, even if someone disrespectfully disagreed with me. I appreciate the feedback. 23:53 it’s not the coordination dude, it’s the reinforce rate. Radio is the only way to improve it until you get *deep* into doctrines, and even then the buff pales in comparison. Absolutely insane you’ll talk about not getting industry techs because you only have 5-10 factories and then go research 10 airplane techs… for your 10 airplanes

It sounds like it's working for you to have radio as a priority tech and industry techs researched before airplane techs. That's great! There's no one best way to do research and I am glad you have a winning research strategy.

Not taking 4% research till the end of the game. Yikes.

Maybe not as much as one might think. Each percent of research reduction provides no more than 3.65 days of extra research per year per research slot. A 4% research reduction tech that costs 238 days when one has 3 research slots (up to 44 days of extra research) takes 5.4 years to pay off (238/44). I think the early years are the most important, so I'll spend my research on tech that I need now.

Radio is decent, but too low on the priority list to get when one has only two research slots.
