Finally, the Premier League is over. Pretty funny actually that United won 2-0 against Brighton given how much control they had but Rasmus Hojlund showed his class with his goal and Diogo Dalot's finish was good too.
If we play like that in the FA Cup final against City? It's only ending one way but at least we finished the season with 2 wins.
United have finished 8th in the league. No European football next season unless we beat City.

It's a mentality problem. Against Brighton... and I don't think Martinez's inclusion can't be emphasised enough... the team suddenly has an energy and a passion for keeping the clean sheet. Luke Shaw's absence as well is still a huge problem. The guy was IMO the best left-back in the world when England reached the Euro's. Last year he was immense. I am a United fan of 50 + years. I am as upset as anyone at finishing 8th, however, what did anyone expect with the injuries we have had? Could EtH have played better/different formations? Possibly. Our lack of control in every game is a massive concern. City are gonna have a fuckin field day against us. It's absolutely embarrassing that we've finished 8th our worst ever finish in history & without any European football unless we somehow beat City & be in the Europa League. As for Hojlund for someone who barely gets any service he's a clinical finisher & scoring 16 goals in all competitions in his debut season is pretty impressive. He's also got the best conversion ratio aswell. Give the lad far more service he'll score more goals

Worst ever finish in history? I imagine you’d be shocked by some of fergies first 5 seasons, not to mention Busby in 1963. Wait for the bombshell when you realise how many times United have been relegated.

Problem with the injuries were that they were mostly focused around 3 positions, leaving no suitable players for those positions. We lost 5 key players all season. Last year’s 30 goal forward and a key defensive midfielder who both fell of a cliff, and 3 of the 4 defensive positions being decimated. Take the equivalent of shaw, Martinez, varane out of any team, along with losing the form of a 30 goal forward and a key cdm and any team would struggle. Add in weak replacements or all the reserves also being injured along with laying down long term foundations, and it’s a miracle we finished 8th. Fergie was fighting relegation for much of 1989-1990 doing similar.

Giggs was 17, and turned 18, during the 91/92 season when he played virtually the full season (38 league games, 51 games total). Started in all but 3 of those games. Played the full 90 minutes in most games, there was only two subs back then, not the crazy number of subs we have these days. Rashford will play in the final so not surprised he didn't start today, but I must admit I thought Garnacho might have been rested today. No European football next year unless we pull off a miracle next week :( That's pretty shameful, you have to be a bit rubbish not to qualify for Europe these days.

A massive clear out of players needed, but that's not going to happen in 1 transfer window. Ten Hag has proven that he can not get the best out of these players. Even if they move 5 or 6 players out in the summer, they will only bring in 3 or 4 players to replace them. That's still leaves 75% of the players he couldn't get a tune out of. Injures or not, his tactics just dont seem to work, and there is no plan B. He's just too stubborn. I just think a clean slate is needed for most of the players and a new manager, but the issue with sacking him is, who do you replace him with. There is no European football next year. That makes it tough to attract new players and a new manager. It'll be more of the same next year, and we will be lucky to qualify for the Champions League.
