Looking at Mainoo at the end of every game makes me look fatigued😅. He must rest as and when possible. We need to protect him. We have examples like Foden and also Pedri/Gavi/Fati, upto us that we learn from both these opposite cases.

Reaching top 4 is more difficult so I prefer winning the europa league, its a trophy that boost confidence and we get into champions league next season

Tbh, in ANY of the matches in ETH's 2 seasons before this, did we ever have the luxury to discuss who plays, what kind of player would suit, or who should be rested!? Even the so called ETH outers would agree with this. Casemiro-Kambwala-Evans CB partnerships (dark days ffs). I sincerely hopes that there are rotations in almost every game, and I believe ETH will be more creative in using the squad. I couldn't agree more when he said "I had headaches in choosing a team in the previous season, but this term, it's also a headache, but a good headache to choose from a full fit squad".

@@playedout148can’t blame that entirely on the manager. There’s no infinite supply of money for us to dip into. What it does do though is expose how stupid it was to let Alvaro go to Benfica. Of all the clubs you don’t want to sell to it’s frigging Benfica. Fernandez was doing great in the academy as well.

the most important thing is how do ETH react during the game.. last game vs palace it's so useless subs IMO.. it was worst compare to the starting eleven. rashford, hojlund? ah idk.. hopefully it was just a matter of time.. we'll see..

@@mirzasaputraid True, he got the subs wrong. Idk why he prioritised giving mins to Ugarte and Rashford over the actual tactical need. But on the other hand, I don't feel he is clueless, let's not forget the 1st season when we came out as a totally different side after HT in some of the games.

This how I would line up: (G) Bayindir, keep same back 4, Maz, DeLigt, Martinez, Dalot, Midfield: Ugarte and Casemiro, with Zirkzee in the high role, Wingers, Rashford on left Garnacho on right, with Hojlund at striker. Good opportunity I think to see if we can linkup Zirkzee and Hojlund for some goals. Give Amad a rest, Bruno a rest. With Ugarte in, I think it provides enough cover for Casemiro to relax and play natural and gives Erickson a rest. Subs if the game is in control; Amass for Dalot to rest Dalot, Collyer come in for Casemiro after 60 mins. Mount in for Hojlund after 60, and move Zirkzee up to striker. Bring in Amad (or Anthony) if necessary for either Garnacho or Rashford depending on performance.

Totally agree with your thinking, Big game Sunday. The more we can rest, while rewarding youth who are clearly ready along with getting good minutes into those who are only coming back is an ideal mix. When squad fully fit our bench looks very strong 1st team - Onana, Maz, De Ligt, Licha, Dalot, Mainoo, Ugarte, Bruno, Amad, Garnacho, Hojlund. Subs bench - Bayandir, Yoro, Malacia, Shaw, Maguire, Casemiro, Collyer, Amass,

Realistically, our best option for playing in the Champions League next season is to win the Europa League this season - we might get top 4, but that is going to be a difficult challenge. I know this isn't our toughest game in the Europa group stage - that's probably next week away at Porto - but I expect to see a close to full strength starting XI.

It was really disappointing to drop points against Palce on Saturday but its all part of the process. We were destroyed there only a few months with no passion, no fight, no heart. The change INEOS have brought, instilling total professionalism meshing with ETH standards have been so exciting. Yes it's a process and still need time to get to where we want but we are definitely going right way. He now has the players he wanted who can play from the back, control the game, intricate rapid passing patterns, hard work. Add to this we have a lot of top class talent on the way back from injury getting close to a fully fit squad. Hojlund can't get back quick enough. Attack is now creating many chances with excellent service from MF and excellent protection from DF. I predict big numbers from Rasmus this year under Ruuds tutoring

I think it's going to be the same team that played crystal palace with garnacho on the bench and rashford starting. Maybe in the second half he'll make the subs. Bayinder should start though. Great video Sam

We kept another clean sheet, but poor finishing from palace players got us off the hook. Despite our dominance, the Palace still carved open our defense on several occasions. I'm still worried about our tendency to give away chances easily.

Sam I believe what you touched on in an earlier video where you talked about zirkzee and his hold up play he's a big strong lad who if we can get him linking well with hojlund and he's holding it up well hojlund can get in behing more as he has the pace and power I think Bruno needs a rest and we need to try zirkzee and hojlund together as I really feel they could be deadly together both young hungry strikers who want to win and score goals I really hope it happens thanks for another great video Sam GGMU

Please don’t start Bruno, he’s still our most important player and he needs rest. Arsenal have Odegard, City have Rodri injured. You have to preserve your best players. Start Zirkzee behind Hojlund, Rashford on the left & Garnacho/Antony on the right. Amad and Bruno can come on later in the game.

Agree. Amad is a technical genius. Close control is outstanding with vision to match. I believe with another season under his belt he can be a genuine cover for Bruno. Zirkzee's ability to play with back to goal, strength to hold up ball and link up play means he could do a job to cover Bruno. Not at his level yet but offers something different without a huge loss in quality should Bruno miss

I personally would prefer to see a stronger team playing. To get a win in the first game of the Europa League would take a bit of pressure off and maybe we can look to rest players towards the final group matches when we have enough points. I would like to see a few rested though, De Ligt needs to be carefully used this first 6 months of the season. The most important thing though is to continue this more controlled manner which we have played these last three games. We shouldn’t underestimate Twente but we shouldn’t need to play our full first team. 3-1 United

Shaw could absolutely still make an impact this season. He would open up the left side as a route to goal for Garna/Rashford. Dalot needs a rest too! Rashford has to start to keep that confidence up - hopefully get a goal. Reckon we'll batter them. Not as easy as the Barnsley game but I doubt Twente will be as well drilled as Palace were and they certainly don't have the quality.

Twente are 4th with 11 out of 18 available points (not all teams have played 6 matches yet). They're doing fine in the Eredivisie, but the overall of the league isn't very high right now. By all means this should be an easy victory. For reference PSV, who have lost only a single league match since the start of last season, lost hopelessly against Juventus.

Brono has been a fading star over the last three years, sadly - well past his peak of 18/12 goals per season to 10/8 (hence the growth in yellow cards). Need to be subbing more often than playing (like Rashford) as a good impact or tactical change squad player. Lets stop living off of history and build for the future and our new world-class stadium!! 🤓

The thing is that I don't believe anymore in the efficiency of this formation with a n°9 + Bruno behind. Well, not when Bruno is in his current form. So, ok, let's start with Bruno, Hojlund, Rashford and Amad. And indeed, I think Ugarte + Casimero is a balanced combo in midfield. But if Bruno still stays complicated and inaccurate, please ETH, do not hesitate : Bench him and play Zirkzee instead. And I'm pretty sure about it, we're going to see that both Rashford and Hojlund suddenly start scoring again.

Bring Garnacho on for Rashford & Hojlund on for Zirkzee & Evans on for Martinez & Collyer on for Ugarte in the 2nd half. Rotation is gonna be so important now

Realistically Man. United should win this game considering the quality in the squad and that they are used to play almost every game on the highest intensity. But underestimation is a danger. Twente can play pretty good football. I don't think it will be easy, but should be a fun game to watch :)

Shaw is finished at United. He’ll come back and play 2-3 games and get injured again, he lost my support when he was injured all season but miraculously fit to play in the Euros.

Don't trust Bruno anymore to be honest. Zirkzee is the best link player we have at the moment. I feel we play better with him on. But I have my fingers crossed on mount to show up as well

Honestly I don’t ever think Shaw has been good enough to be a Manchester United Player he’s too inconsistent and his fitness and injuries are just too much for any big club to take on. No to mention his defensive positioning in my opinion is terrible he is always caught out of position and everyone just defends him cause he can cross a ball. That is not enough for me. I grew up watching defenders defend and master it before they stepped forward to be attacking. Maguire is another player I feel has never once been the right signing for United. He turns slower than a bus and is sloppy and blames his mistakes on others certainly not a captain. I think this new system with these attacking full backs so high up the pitch is the worst type of football. Each position requires a specialist in their position. If you are a defender then master the art of defending then you can start to progress up the pitch. If you’re a striker master the art of attacking. It will never make sense that defenders are being judged on the goals they score or assists rather than how many clean sheets they helped keep or how many tackles or interceptions they make. I say this cause every time I see United getting caught on the counter there’s 1/2 CBs and 1 CDM being isolated. All because of the stupid overload. Players need to start to master their roles attackers push up the pitch, take on your defender give them something to work for don’t just turn and reset! Before anyone makes a football comment I am a fully qualified Level 3 FA Coach and some of my players have been scouted and joined big clubs.
