the amazing thing is that , that guy was twitch . they both started off from this , and have made such a huge success in their careers. D-trix - americas best dance crew season 3 champion with quest crew - americas best dance crew judge season 6 and 7 - toured with quest crew and sytycd -ytf twitch - starring in Step up 3d and Step up revoloution - toured with sytycd and lxd - sytycd season 4 runner up

@TheViperofDoom he was a SYTYCD all star on the past season(7) which had 11 contestants and brought back dancers from previous seasons(all stars). and this audition was BEFORE abdc. he was on season 3 of sytycd and he was on season 3 of abdc. abdc isnt the same show and started a few years after sytycd. this show is how hok and d-trix met which is how d-trix most likely joined Quest Crew

What kind of dance style is Hok? Pop Lock? With some bboy and tutting?

pretty much what you just said. hok is so amazing because he knows so many styles of dance, his technique is phenomenal. he's familiar with popping, waving, and housing, and excels at tutting, locking, and breaking. his musicality is great so he knows how to incorporate stunts, props, and humor with his dance. d-trix has less dimensions compared to hok, but he is great at what he does. his bboying and athleticism are his strongest weapons, complemented by his speed. his power moves are clean and his uprock technique is very fluid. he's also proficient with pop and is great at freestyle. like hok and just about every other quest crew member, d-trix has a knack for incorporating humor in his routines.

If I were a talented dancer, this would be my style. LOVE HOK! I seriously wanted him to win that season, but they made him look stupid up there dancing tango and crap. He'd be great at all the dances if he practiced all of them before the show, no doubt. I mean, like tango, anyone can learn it if they are an average dancer, but it's hard work. It'll take you a lifetime just to master some simple tango stuff. If you have minimal partner dance experience, you may be screwed. I am just picking up tango now, and it's much easier than it would be due to my background in swing and blues. I keep getting compliments on my tango dancing for a beginner. But I can tell tango is way harder than swing or blues.

@snf09 Quest crew was formed at a community center called "Quest" and I believe D-trix had frequented there already. Besides that, I guess it wouldn't be hard to meet fellow dancers in the community. You see faces at competitions, showcases, classes, mutual friends, etc.

@ahd474 He got more involved with SYTYCD once he became an all-star. He was invited to tour with them which you would imagine consumed a lot of his time. He seems to just be doing his own thing at the moment, which is understandable. Sounds like it's working out for him.
