I appreciate your video a lot. Especially, telling us how your actual customers gravitate toward them and their use cases. It feels like other reviewers are quick to dismiss them because they are spoiled with thousands of dollars worth of high end shoes and they nitpick at things that aren’t issues for us mere mortals and don’t pay attention to to see if the basics are covered. Thank you so much!

Saw them today at my local running store. Ordered a pair in my size. I agree a shoe that soaks up water is a bad shoe but I liked what I saw and cant wait to walk and run my dog with them to test them out. I stocked up on 5 pairs of the 6s just in case they ruined the 7 lol.

Is Arahi 7 can help me who have supination foot? Thank you!
@lth_lch8 ай бұрын
Got to have a quick look at these the other day while I was in a store buying trail shoes. Not a fan of the changes to the upper vs the 6. The upper feels more structured, but it’s to the point that it felt almost constraining. Part of the reason I got the 6 was because it was a supportive, somewhat stiff shoe (was dealing with sesamoid issues at the time, so needed something more rigid to limit forefoot flex) but with an upper that had enough give so the toe box wasn’t tight. My pronation is mild enough that I can usually get away with running in neutral shoes with wider platforms instead of dedicated stability shoes, so I guess I can see the more structured upper being a plus for those who need a little extra support, but these weren’t for me.

I've tried all the Hoka models, and the Arahi is by far my favorite. I'm not a runner, but walk a lot and use the treadmill at the gym. I have the Arahi 6. I understand the sole on the 7 is unchanged from the 6. I just wish Hoka had more stability models.

Update, had these over a week, they run narrow. I have to return for a wide. If you have a wide forefoot or even semi wide feet get the wide. I was able to wear the regular in the 6s but these are way too cramped.
@PLANETWATERMELON Жыл бұрын
I hope it is not as narrow as the 6 and less pinchy in the arch too. Is it an actual new mid-sole or just is the "J" frame just all white this go round?
@steve4321able11 ай бұрын
Just bought them, they are more narrow for sure, I'm getting a wide now.

I'm a bit flat-footed and so I'm torn between buying this or the Mach 6 since from the reviews of the Mach 6 and this that I've seen seem to indicate that the Arahi is firmer and Mach 6 is softer. I'm partial to the Mach 6 since I like a softer midsole and I would probably also use the Mach 6 as a race day shoe on my 10K races and as a daily trainer for most of my training runs. Do you think that overall I would benefit more from the Arahi's stability?

I have high arches and protate slighly but my foot isnt landing under my hip and knee but more inward. Shold i get stability shoes?

In another video, you said that you supinate. I've been in Brooks Beast, but tried a Hoka Gaviota and the cushion was so soft compared to the Beast and the Addiction. What's the best Hoka to correct supination? Or, should I just stick with the Brooks?

What about Stinson? Is it not stability, high cushioning shoe?
@RunMoore Жыл бұрын
The Stinson 7 is a maximum cushion stability trail shoe. The road equivalent to the Stinson 7 is the Gaviota 5. Both shoes offer a high stack height, maximum cushion midsole, and Hoka's H-Frame stability system.

Love the Gaviota 5 over these for sure!

Honestly after getting Arahi 5, I skipped the 6 and now I don’t think I will be getting this version either cause it looks the same as the Arahi 5. There are just more choices now for stability shoes and other brands have been upping their game too. So unless Hoka decide to invest and invent new tech for stability shoes, I don’t think i will be going back to Hoka.

I own the Arahi 6 and personally when I tried on the Arahi 7 it just felt a lot more stiff in cushion and a lot narrower in the toebox compared to Arahi 6. I like the looks, just doesn’t feel the same.

I hope there are more colorways. Those uppers look very Skechers-ish.

I am a manager at a running shoe store which sells these shoes. And the first 3 colors they come out with are ok in my opinion. The Fall colors are my personal favorites.
@alpineassault9 ай бұрын
I had the same thought. I had my foot scanned in a local Hoka store and one of the recommendations for me was the Arahi. But once a saw the colorways of the Mach 6 I immediately had second thoughts lol.

Hi can you help me I need support in my shoe as get back pain knee pain what are bets hoka or brooks
@purplemustacheman261111 ай бұрын
I am a manager at a shoe store which sells both Brooks and Hokas. Both are great options it truly comes down to personal preference. In the Brooks for a soft cushion shoe I’d recommend the Ghost Max, for a more stable cushioned shoe I’d recommend the Glycerin 20 (they will be releasing Glycerin 21 next month however). In Hoka for a soft cushion shoe I’d recommend the Bondi 8, for a mor stable shoe the Gaviota 5, and then for arch support, heel support, and cushion, I’d recommend the Clifton 9. Another brand I’d recommend trying would be the Altra brand. They are a zero-drop shoe which means they have no heel to toe drop in the shoe. So it’s a lot like walking barefoot with tennis shoes cushion and support. This zero-drop is great for helping correct posture and help even out the pressure of your foot, as well as helping relieve some back, knee, and hip pain. Also another thing with this brand is they all have a wide, foot shaped toebox. Which allows your toes to spread and give more balance. I’d recommend the Via Olympus 2 for a plush soft cushion shoe, and I would recommend the paradigm 7 as a stable arch support shoe. One thing to note when you put the Altra shoe on for the first time you may feel like you’re leaning back at first and that’s very normal. It’s because your foot is used to having a heel rise in the back to rest on, and now it doesn’t so it feels a little strange. That will go away with a couple of wears. Anyways, hope you find this helpful and have a good day!
@jay157211 ай бұрын
I have the Gaviota 5 and let me yell you, they are amazing! Also, the Bondi 8 for walking or every day would be great for your back. Gaviota 5 has more stability though...

Do RunMoore sell "On Cloud" shoes? Whats you opinion on On?
@RunMoore Жыл бұрын
We have carried On Cloud in the past. While we had them, there were a lot of quality control issues and manufacturer defects reported by our customers. We do plan to bring them back now that it appears that a lot of the issues our customers had with them have been resolved

Why get this instead of a Clifton?
@Navanirunz Жыл бұрын
The Arahi is a stability shoe, the Clifton is neutral. Neutral runner gets Clifton, someone who over pronates gets Arahi.

I’ve had Arahi for a couple generations and when the 6 came out, it was horrible. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Been running with a pair of Arahi 5s Bought a pair a few weeks ago and just returned them. They are just to ugly to wear with the blast of whiteness and dull Navy blue. Online and videos don’t show the full effect until you put them on. Hoka should have put more effort in the color styling of this version.
