Appreciate the review - Hoka says these are "moderately" cushioned, but as someone who likes a firm sole, this review saves me the hassle of buying and having to inevitably return these shoes. :)

Clifton 9 is really good to me, and Stenson 7 for off-road is amazing, I can see that happening with any running shoe if you have a heavy foot.

Mach 6 are the best for daily trainers from Hoka. Saucony Triumph 21s are my fav and you can now find them for $100.

If you like the big sole look, give Brooks Ghost Max a try. It has a firmer midsole.

Hi Evelyn! Thank you very much! I had the Clifton 9 and I was shocked, too. A very slow shoe. It is hard to pick up the pace. I don`t know why I bought it because I usually run Brooks. I had the Brooks Hyperion, now the Brooks Defayance12 both are much faster and slimmer for me as a lightweight runner. I am looking out for the Brooks Hyperion TEMPO now. Maybe that is something for you, too. A lightweight and slim running girl as you does not need shoes for heavy men ;-)

Hi Evelyn! What a pleasant surprise it is to find out that you love running. I've been a keen runner since I quit smoking 6 years ago. I don't like marathons, but I wish you luck on your second one. I'm 188cm tall, 101kg, quite a heavy runner. Can you believe that Usain Bolt is actually 93 kg? His weight (all muscles I guess unlike myself) doesn't prevent him from being the fastest. Anyway, my current shoes are Hoka Bondi 7. I bought them for the sake of max cushioning. I'm quite happy with them but these shoes are heavy and not for high speed. I've noticed that they are more durable than Asics, for instance. There's a thing that's bugging me a lot, the blisters on my toes. I've tried band aids, grease and 100% syntetic socks, but the blisters won't go away. How do you deal with them?

1.) get a daily trainer that fits you (and get the right size! many people get the running shoes WAY too large! Then you slip around in the shoe and that could cause rubbing and therefore blisters and what not), which is also not too (sinky) soft and has a lot of foam for shock absorption. 2.) which Asics? In general, Asics runnig shoes last for ages whereas Hoka has a reputation for their foams beeing "dead" after 100-200 miles. 3.) are you really comparing a sprinter with an endurance athlete? For max power you have to have muscles, for endurance you have to have low weight. Look at the 60-200m runners and then look at the 800m to ultra marathon runners (the world class ones). Recognize anything? ;) Also Usain Bolt is a very tall guy. 1.95 m (6 ft 5 in) · 94 kg (207 lb) due to wikipedia. That's not surprising in any way.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Clifton 9. I run with ASICS nb 4 but I also use the ASICS Nimbus 25 & NB 1080 v13. So I guess the latter 2 is out of the question for you 😁

I bought a nice leather pair of shoes in Ecuador for $30 dollars. The shoes you bought look like the cheaper shoes that you can buy for $20 on the street.

May I make a constructive critique on this video for the sake of future ones? Wouldn’t it have been more attractive and useful to your subscribers if you had included in this post some of the great expressions you just taught? For example; “I’m not much of a professional runner” … “if you asked how good of a runner are you on a scale 1 to 10, I’d say I’m a 6 grade professional runner” etc., you decide. Thanks for the great job of yours.

I think this type of shoes making this way that you have to change them quite often if you run a lot. so, it's really expensive. I mean, it because of that marshmallow thing for foot protection. it has some limit running I'm not sure in English it's proper words for this )
