Which of the scales in this video do you like best and why?
@uncut1193 жыл бұрын
C minor. It sound very etheral and has some nice deeper tones.

The C minor is also quite haunting.

These sound so good. The Sansulas sound great because of that resonant surface. Also, Kalimbas (Mbiras, Sansulas) with two offset rows like that are somewhat easier to play than those with all the tines in a row because there's more space between them. Kalimbas with all the tines at the same level make it easier to play two or even three notes at a time, but you have to be a lot more accurate if you only want to play one note. I don't know how easy the Sansulas are to tune, but it should be easy to by one in a major key and make it minor by lowing just the third or vice verse.

Thank you for the valuable commentary. These sansulas are pretty easy to tune, I have even done some retuning myself to experiment with different scales. They come with a tuning tool when you buy one. Anyways if there’s any more valuable information you have here, feel free to share!

Thanks so much for this! Can someone tell me if G Minor "Handpan" (Pygmy) is pentatonic?
@didgeproject2 жыл бұрын
Its not pentatonic due to the added flat 6th tone, which here is Eb
