If there is a game thats allowed to be "broken" its Hokuto No Ken.. Its actually a damn skilled game - if you notice the mega combos don't take off much energy - thats because the games designed that way to balance it out a bit - you can flip out of those generally anyway.

Excellent combos.. So impressive! I love this game and all other fighters, I'm a decent player generally, pretty good really but I find there are too many great games to settle down and master one or two. I want to play them all! I'm a Jack of all trades, master of none. I suppose your social situation makes difference as well - there are no arcades for 100's of miles here and nobody I know plays fighters.. :'( *sniff*

What's the point with a 100 hit combo if you can only do a 2 hitter into an instant deatrh super !

You need to take off all 7 stars from your opponent's star gauge in order to gain access to the Fatal KO. Problem is, you can only take off 3 stars in a single combo unless you exploit a bug, which not every character can do. Even with the bug though, which Kenshiro can exploit, you can still only remove a maximum of 5 stars in one combo. So, if the opponent has a full star gauge, the Fatal KO becomes useless in a combo, and you have to kill them the hard way. The other problem is that most ways of killing the opponent in a single combo are impractical in a competitive game, but that's a whole other story.

To those who don't know, these combo videos were actually made before PS2 version came out. So, yeah, all of these combos were performed by skilled players and recorded on arcade. You can notice the sound sometimes higher sometimes lower, because they were not recorded at the same time.

Wow, that fatal K.O combo thing looks pretty cool. (100 punches/kicks Super). Got a Question though. Does the fatal K.O won the whole thing for you or just the round. For Example, let's say i was playing the game,and i happened to be getting my ass kicked. I lost the first 2 rounds, and am at 1/10 health in the 3rd. If i were to pull something like that off, would i automatically win?

Well you should consider the fact that this game isn't done by Capcom - instead it is made by Arc System- the people behind Guilty Gear which was reknown for its stunning combo chains and infinite loops.

Its called "Hokuto No Ken" (Fist of the North Star), its available for the PS2 but Japanese only, if you have a super duper PC you could play it on an emulator but thats a pretty beefy PC you will need..

There's actually a version of the game on MUGEN now. It's a near perfect emulation, with the only problem being the lifebars. The normal bread and butter combos seen in HnK do way too much damage in the MUGEN version, but you can edit each character's .cns file to give them much more HP and fix that.

Oh my fucking god. I've been playing this on my own so I wanted to look what an experimented player was able to do. I just found this so now I know why when a company just release a first edition they cannot balance the combos properly and things like these 100% or infinite combos happen. Anyway, amazing game, one of my favorites of all time.
