Nothing like having your Freight delivered to your door via rail even if it has to go down the street. Sounds like the temperatures and wind Chill are about what we had today in Milwaukee. Plus the fact we're short already a foot on snowfall it shows three single digit days coming up starting Sunday. It is funny that even when it is this cold a cold beer still tastes good

You should ask the brewery if they would let you film from the dock while the cars are being shoved through the building and on out to where they are emptied. Would be a different perspective showing how tight the space is. (I've delivered specialty malt via pneumatic, NOT fun backing a truck around that curve.)

I worked for a company that owned a rayon plant in Utica (Beaunit Corporation which bought Skenandoa Rayon Corp.). It received coal and some raw materials by rail, and shipped out some yarn and sodium sulfite by rail. I wonder if it were served by this line or by a different line.

It’s a wonder the switch still works after all the years since being installed.

The switch is built from a design made in 1938 for street railways. It was built in 1988 for the last big track replacement project on Schuyler Streeet. The New York State DOT supervising engineer for that project told me the history of the switch.
