That's not entirely true. We're the ones, who serve you. Keep that in perspective. V.P. Joe Biden , at the memorial said it very well and said it best , " All men , are created equal , and then, only few became firefighters "... Best tribute song to the 19 Granite Hotshots and the Fire Service of men and women who serve around the world. Listeningto this song reminded me when I was a rookie type 2 fire fighter back in 2013. The day after the Yarnell tragedy, My crew and I were on the fire near kanab UT, mopping up and rehabbing early in the morning. over the radios my fire crew were told to put our operations at a halt. we wonder why, then later we gathered together as a crew wondering why we stopped , Our fire officer who drove for miles to check on us, Came up to all of us. He informed us of Yarnell tragedy, telling us that the Granite Mountain lost 19 hotshots. Their very best and brightest, hard workers who loved their jobs. Hearing this, Our crew got real quiet with our heads down, looking at each other lost for words. Then our fire officer told us all to take a knee and giving the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots a moment of silence, out of respect we all did. Of course I'll kneeled down and accidentally kneeled into some hot ash, SMH. After our moment of silence our fire officer was glad we're all safe and making sure we're working safely as a team, a band of brothers. He started to cry a little bit and wondered what mistakes the Granite Mountain Hotshots made that led them to their tragic deaths. As too I wondered that, feeling sad for their families. As years went by, the day finally came, watching the movie that pays tribute to the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots was a powerful experience and it was really hard watching the end of the movie, I cried in front of my girlfriend :( They did an outstanding job on the movie, seeing the inactment and telling of their story was like I said, A powerful haunting experience. Not only the movie was base on their bravery but as a band of brothers who lived life together to the very end, sadly and gladly at least one sole surviver will tell of their story. Best Movie Best song ever. God Bless the Fire Service of dragon slayers.

The loss of those 19 men will scar the face of Earth and humanity for millennia to come. Their sacrifice allowed a beautiful town and forest to survive and gave families a chance to spend many days to come in the place they belong. Those men gave everything, they became so close to the point of family. From failing relationships and depression to hero's, legends in fact. Their names written on stone, carved deep into the heart of Earth, and the families of those who fell on that day. On the day those 19 men died, 19 bright stars appeared in the sky.

If it wasn't known, that our love will carry on I will be the wind that echoes on the canyon wall One more day with you, to walk around our neighbourhood We will never know like it was understood We never say goodbye Just let me hold the light If you've given up, I will call an end to this I will be your rock from my perch If you walk the ridge, you will find the marks, the scars Kneel down by the tree, under the city stone We never say goodbye Just let me hold the light We never say goodbye I'll see you on this side Or the other way The desert sun kisses the sky Baby hold the light And keep it in your eyes And promise that you'll dream with me Beyond the walls of time In the end we lay beside Just look up at the light Just let me hold the light Just let me hold the light

"It's not what's stands in front of you, it's who stands beside you." Just watched the movie. Movies do get me in tears but this one had my chin and nose really wet. RIP Heroes. I still remember the survivor from the 20's quote "it's no longer the guilt on surviving that I carry with me. But the honor of knowing my brothers as you know them, as Heroes".

For a wildland firefighter, a wife of, a daughter of and a friend to many, this song speaks to my heart. Thank You Dierks for bringing light to the lifestyle. So many wildland firefighters across this country leave their families and go out into our federal lands and work to save our properties, our wilderness and lives. They are humble hard working group and are a silent backbone. Lost friends too. Thanks. Holding the light.

I cried when i saw the brave fighting for their communities and all the families including their own. They are true brave heroes and we will never forget them and what they did for us. Thank you to all the fire fighters for what you are doing for us. These 20 brave men are real heroes and they cared about everyone not just themselves.

Sadly this film is not appropriately appreciated, in terms of the major awards nominations. I'm not an American viewer, and I'm immensely moved by the heroic and tragic incident of Granite Mountain Hotshots. RIP to the 19.
