@@rubenmazuko394 So comparing 16:21 and 17:05, you can see different things happen, and Dave comments on this as well. But these are not just a couple differences, these differences run all the way until the room he reaches at 19:52. Considering at 19:43 he stops showing the alternate takes, as well as the no-reason death at 20:27, my impression is that he didn't bother playing through these alternate trolls, but just would die every other time in order to have to only deal with only 1 version of those sections. And that's his choice, fine, it's certainly easier to do that, but having played through it myself, I think it would have been really funny to see him struggle to remember which version of each troll was about to happen throughout that area. It's in my opinion a really wonderful aspect of this level!

Hey Dave:) I have a challenge for if you want: expert mode (normal if it's too hard), you can skip levels, but you have to kill every enemy you see just with jumps. You are not allowed to kill them with power ups or POW or shell etc. If you fail you have to take a death and skip the level. The goal is to beat 5 levels. Info: I talk about enemies you can kill with jumps so spikey turtles for example are not counting. Greetings from Germany. Love your vids :)

@@diggydiggyhole-fan good point, but like I said : he can skip levels. So he can skip the level at this point, but if he activates the Pow he has to skip with taking a death before. One way to avoid this is to skip every speedrun, if he want. I hope you understand my point :)

He mentions going through the checkpoint loop seems to hit and on off. In blue state, you make it through. In red state, it trolls you.

@@mike1024. yeah, whenever he discovers a significant spoiler to the mechanics of a troll, he cuts it from the KZbin video. You have to pay pretty close attention to realize. Immediately after he stated that it was tied to the checkpoint loop, he stopped showing himself going through it, just the room acting differently, never him restarting at the checkpoint immediately before, working out the mechanic, etc. There is still a single red/blue block in that room, so you can see which color is correct. He's done it before in other videos, too.

@@giin97 Nope, you're clearly not getting it. What Dave was actually doing was dying every other life between CP1 and CP2 in order to skip the blue switch state version of that section. Because of this, he simply was dying to save time, even though there were trolls in the blue switch state. In the red switch state, the level has one version of its sections with its set of trolls, and in the blue switch state, the level has the other version of its set of trolls, so it had trolls for both switch states. Dave made it seem like the blue switch state was the only way to play through the level without deaths, which is not true because there are still trolls in that switch state. Basically, this level was alternating between two different versions of the same section, and he was just skipping over one the blue switch state trolls because he didn't care about how he was playing the level. P.S. Oh, and btw, I am talking about Toad Burns in Orange Juice. Hopefully you understand what you were missing out on.

The P-switch level was okay, but it had quite a few moments where the trolls didn't line up right. That fire flower one ways especially annoying to me because Dave just barely missed the last set of flowers. This was a good gimmick, but the creator definitely needs to refine their skills.
