I took my girlfriend to Galaxy's Edge for the FIRST time

Jen and I took a one-day trip to Orlando to visit Animal Kingdom and Galaxy's Edge! And of course, no trip to Orlando is complete without stopping at Soupa Saiyan!

Holden, I went this past January before COVID hit and it was the greatest experience ever. Pulling the lever to send the falcon to hyperspace with my girlfriend was one of the best moments of my life. I think every single Star Wars fan must go here at least once

For Flight of Passage the key to avoiding motion sickness are to not look straight down, and in particular focus on the "guide" banshee. Star Tours, there's no stopping motion sickness on that one, it's just rough.

I can't ride Star Tours but surprisingly had not problems with Flight. It's just the movements are so smooth.

@@gissneric Basically the same for me, although I definitely "feel it" more if I try to look straight down on FOP. Went on it multiple times with a friend a couple of years ago during a special event, and while she loved the ride, she threw up the last time, and said she was indeed looking down too far.

Real Talk: the fam and I went to Disney this past October. (I hadn't been since 1997, kids first time) At Smuggler's Run the Kids were the gunners, I got same pilot seat as you did and when that hyperdrive control lit up, I got the Massive Feels. Wife (co-pilot) looked over and just yelled "Punch it!" We didn't wreck the Falcon either. That was a good day.

Galaxys Edge is incredible. Went there in January while on a family vacation. Was there all day and was even fortunate enough to be able to ride Ride of the Resistance.

You need to introduce GF to the Food and Wine festival and some of the bigger spectacles at Disney once those things return. You did not do Rise of the Resistance which is a whole other level of ride-attraction. The character seen at 6:34 is another recurring player in both the animated "Clone Wars" and "Rebels" series. He's a Weequay pirate named Hondo Ohnaka voiced by Jim Cummings on the shows. The two cartoons are worth the effort, Holden. I didn't believe for years but used the quarantine to catch up. The future of most of live-action Star Wars is spinning out of those two shows. I think both you and Jen will enjoy the series; Matt, not so much.

Almost threw up after the Pandora ride too. Just went for the first time and was lucky enough to get on Rise of the Resistance. If you get a chance to board it is the most immersive ride I've ever been on and as a Stat Wars fan is was amazing.

Jen, Dramamine before getting on the rides that make you motion sick. The only way I survived Tower of Terror and Space Mountain. However, took one look at the starting position for the Himalayas ride (and I really want to see the Yeti) and passed. I thought my motion sickness was bad but I was able to deal with Star Tours and Soaring without the Dramamine. Last time I was at Disney World was long before they opened Battu.

Hi, maybe Jen could try dramamine before going to the rides... I use it for every motion related activity cause I have the same problem... is an over the counter pill and I only take one for the whole day (of course, I also suggest checking first with her doctor) .
