This song, this whole album...destroyed me. I lost the love of my life 12/03/2020. And we were seperated at the time. And it has fucked me up more than anything in this life ever has or will. I cant express in enough ways how wrong I was in being away, how she died alone and I can never make it right. I can never show her how much she truly meant to me and impacted my life. And it is the hardest thing I've ever faced. Thank you guys for this album, it hits home in ways nothing else can.

I'm so sorry. Wow reading this i felt such weight. Past couple years I've lost so many. Including my bestfriend since childhood. 32 now. It's tough. I cant imagine losing the love of life... I'm beyond sorry bro. Time will help but something like that...indont even know what to say. How did she pass if you dont mind me asking. So many loved ones I've lost most is from OD. Its bad around here. Most were great people who you never expect was using...I know an epidemic is badd so wondering if that's how she passed either way God bless her soul. We all need someone to vent to n talk to. I ended stop talking to the friends left and I regret it. So if you need to vent or just talk. Email me at forevermarked413@gmail.com, dont feel weird bro. I been deep in darkness and I know we all need to talk sometimes and I'm a good listener. God bless you brother! I will pray for you and pray for her. Want to know something amazing though? 2 years ago I had a real paranormal experience. I always thiught it was not real, and I PROMISE you, it's real. Theres no denying it after what I seen. Full body apparition nitneven 4nfeet away. Most fear i ever felt. But now I know. So her soul is somewhere friend. I promise you the spiritual realm is very real . And remember email me if u need. My cell broke or I'd drop the #

@@forevermarked5826 I appreciate that. I know that things exist beyond our physical existence. I know she is somewhere. I know she is close some times. And there is no heaven or hell that can keep me from finding her when I get to leave this existence. It's the hardest thing I've ever done to go day after day missing a big part of what kept me alive in the first place, other than my kids. And it's only for them that I face it and keep going. It sucks. I know several people especially in the last year and a half have had devastating losses. And I hate that for every one of them, because if thier experience is like mine...I know how much that void hurts in ways a person never knew could exist.

I was thinking of leaving With the world placed firmly at my feet Nothing left to gain Nothing left to give you If I could simply stop breathing Maybe then the ache would go away Nowhere left to run Nothing left to run from When you looked me in the eyes How could I have known that that would be your final goodbye? How is it fair I must live this life Without your infinite light And guidance? How is it fair You had no choice of when you left? And now we all live In the shadow of it In your slumber you've shown me All the little things that you're deprived Of every single thing that I took for granted Now, I sit here in mourning Knowing that you left while you were lost Now I'm petrified Of leaving before I belonged My entire life is shrouded Now that death's black wing eclipsed your sunshine And if I have to live for you In spite of all the pain that I might feel that I go through That's something that I swear to do How is it fair I must live this life Without your infinite light And guidance? How is it fair You had no choice of when you left And now we all live In the shadow of it There is beauty in any loss that teaches you a lesson All the beautiful friends we leave behind without ever forgetting Though life will move without you I will never move along If this is my last chance to sing you to sleep... There is beauty in any loss that teaches you a lesson All the beautiful friends we leave behind without ever forgetting Though life will move without you I will never move along If this is my last chance to sing you to sleep... Then let this be my mourning song

i love how 4:25 is referenced in the song "honey moon" from the new album, with the inhale into an extremely beautiful melodic post-hardcore sound. except, it has happier connotations in honey moon than it does here. i feel like there were lots of references to songs in TGMOML in TNAOSD.

No doubt something like this could created, sing only someone who had dealt with loss of someone close to him. If not I would be suprised. This song hits another level with everything, amount of emotions put in this song is incredible. Last song I've heard and only could be compared to it, is "If There is a Light it will Find You" by Senses Fail. If you haven't listen it, just go and do it now Both songs are masterpieces not only normal songs but pure beautiful ART. But think Holding Absence song hits even harder maybe thanks to singing which is from another planet. P.S Songs like this are fitting very well in theme which is used in PC game Spiritfarer. Losing someone close to us, loved one is never easy, it's hard as anything else, but thanks to songs like this, games like Spiritfarer or some movies it can be a little easier or just help to understand things and move forward. Kudos to all artists, designers who bring things like this.

Can someone pls help to rephrase two lines of this part? (second and 4th lines) Now I sit here in mourning Knowing that you left while you were lost And now I'm petrified Of leaving before I belonged Its not my native language and litteral translation malkes no sence to me
@UnknownCosmos Жыл бұрын
I know you posted this comment 10 months ago but I’ll reply anyways. The second line could be rephrased as “Knowing that you died feeling you had no purpose.” This phrase could be alluding to suicide or the person not being able to cope with what was happening to them before they passed. The fourth line is connected to the third line and could be rephrased as “And now I am scared of dying feeling I have no purpose.” This phrase could be simplified further in the context of the previous lines as “And now I’m afraid of dying the same way you did.” I would recommend going to an online dictionary or thesaurus to understand the multiple meanings of certain words. I hope I’ve made a clear explanation and that this helps.
