In the night I thrash and I spurn and I dream that which I need I need a hero I holdest out for a hero 'til the end of the night I require him hale, I require him swift When he comes marching home from the fight I need a hero I holdest out for a hero 'til the morning light And he must be assured, if he's to be my lord And he must tower taller than life

Best thing about this music is that it perfectly captures how the overblown bombast of the original would sound if it was performed by a handful of itinerant bards in a smoky olde English tavern, right down to the overflowing tankards, buxon taverm wenches and flickering torchlight as they play (while the youngest member of the troupe goes around the tavern with his hat in his hands, asking for coins).

Really wish it said in the title that it’s just instrumental because the fully finished ones with vocals are the best

These songs are way more interesting when you have time period accurate lyrics to them, like ""Bully Rooks and your Buskin Boots". It really sells the songs more, I wish you'd do more of those.

🎵🎵"Whither hath all the noble men bygone, And where dwell all the deities? Where's the lane-wise Hercules To battle 'gainst the mounting chances? Is there not a knight in alabaster armor upon a blazing courser? Deep into the night, I writhe and I ponder, And I dream of that which I require. I require a hero, I bide for a champion 'til the night's demise. He must bear strength, and he must haste, And he must return anew from the fray. I require a hero, I await a savior 'til the dawn's first light. He must be steadfast, and it must be posthaste, And he must stand grander than the legends. Grander than the legends. Somewhere 'yond the witching hour, In mine wildest fancies, Somewhere, just beyond my grasp, There's a soul reaching forth to me. Sprinting 'pon the thunder, And ascending with the fervor, 'Twill require a Superman to whisk me from my feet, yea."🎵
