Breaking down is the better song in so many ways, and the way stephanie herself portrayed it was glorious this is a great song but it's not the better Trina song "I am breaking down" is more nuanced and feels like you are laughing, disturbed, somewhat scared of trina but most of all you feel bad for Trina your watching this insecure, broken woman trying to push back every emotion and pain she has ever felt and is losing this song is Trina trying to go around life but theres no manual she just has whatever everyone else wanted for her this is a sad song with back story and really adds to Trina who kind of takes a back seat in Act 2 but Breaking down is the best song in the musical, William Finn is quite talented to create a great song like this and I understand the want for an underrated song to be better than an overrated song but Breaking down is overrated because its good its the best song it's the satisfied of Falsettos and holding to the ground is the helpless of Falsettos
