What a cool car! Drove a W reg one years ago and loved it. Just reminds me of the rally legend Colin Mcrae evertime I see a blue Mk1. The price you bought it for seems brilliant and it can only go up in value. I also prefer the Subaru over the Evo. There's just something about them. Great vid as always.

Heard the 2.5 L Hawkeye WRX has reliability issues. 2.0 L Bugeye/Blob eye better. But Bugeye WRX’s have shitty transmissions. Blobeye the better package.

yes the 2.5 engine suffers with headgasket issues its a shame those engines are not more reliable

The silver Hawkeye 38 seconds in, to my surprise I recognize it...I ended up buying that car and did a full colour change, added STi bits, new interior etc...was this a car you owned at some point?

You can get an SL trim with leather seats, sun roof and heated seats. I had that model and it was pretty nice 👍

I had a SF5 2001 s turbo manual lost it too rust ! Tryna find another one or a wrxs thats not automatic is hard ! Rear subframe went half of it dissolved into thin air rear turrets were gone

Sounds like a winner so long as it’s not too rusty. Last one I sold was a 55 plate on 102k miles back in Feb 22 for £7995 👍 It was a lovely example with history, keys etc etc though

You saying about the sound of these is the exact reason I don't like these. Yes it is unique and cool, but no matter what you do to the exhaust system of these, they still sound practically the same. I like a car that leaves you guessing by sound. Don't get me wrong, overall, I don't mind the Impreza or Subarus in general, but the sound is one thing I don't like because of how monotonal and obvious it is

It’s the uneven headers that give the sound away. Some people even length headers on and it sounds totally different.

Thats wrong you can put equal length headers on and it changes the sound of the car totally
