Hairdressers are always mad busy last week of school holidays. Plants don’t like being spray painted. Plants in containers need watering all the time because they have no other way of getting water.

Go to Garden Centre. Find someone and tell them what you want to do. They will tell you to get big pots, 4 bags of compost and 4 Bay Trees. Fill the pots, plant the bay trees as they tell you. Water them twice a week. If you ask them they might do all the work and charge you for the planted container. Listen carefully to what they tell you about aftercare and they will be there after you retire

Make sure those plants are for beside the sea...salt air kills a lot of stuff. Garden centres are expensive because their plants usually last. Supermarket plants ain't great 🤷‍♂️. Love the channel mate 👍

Tomato grow bag soil will be fine their NPK needs are pretty much the standard in the gardening world and so work for most things. Cheaper to just buy a big 100l bag of potting compost. They may be dying/looking bad because overwatering/underwatering, becoming root bound due to outgrowing their pots which will often also result in lack of nutrients. If your planning on keeping them going make sure they have plenty of room to grow into and also buy some liquid fertiliser although you should only need to feed every 3-6 months for most of them and the soil should have enough to keep it going for 3-6 months too. Basically anything that says ok for tomatoes will do for your needs. Before watering disturb the top layer of soil and see if its bone dry or still has moisture. Many see the top and think it needs water when actually underneath there is still plenty and this often results in overwatering which can effect the uptake of nutrients and also encouraging disease and pests to take hold. I run a business selling plants hence my rather detailed knowledge on keeping them alive 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The only real way to trade anything successfully is to take chances (within reason) and accept your inevitable losses and move on from them quickly, don't throw good money (and time) after bad. Buy enough that the odd loss is more annoying and less something that really hurts. You know your stuff and seem to make pretty good decisions.

Re the Navara hopefully you will have offset this against profit using the relevant allowance plus its use should have contributed to the bottom line (maybe not as much of late). As others have said, not the 'loss' it would at first appear, especially with the extra 50k on the clock! Good decision to get rid of all those vehicles and reinvest, the Mini van may be headed in that direction I fear although doesn't James Alford sell vans...?
