My boys and nephew are the stars of this hobby. I just try and keep up by hanging with them. I did plenty more in my younger days.

You like low tide or high tide on the jetties? Or are they just different? I assume always on the slack best you can.
@yakventures9544 Жыл бұрын
Both ends of slack. More hole hunting at low slack and those lings are out of holes more at high slack.

Seems like you could get a shot off quicker if you head a headlamp or had the flashlight attached somehow to the speargun. Nice video.

Good idea

With a light mounted gun, it is much more difficult to look in multiple holes on one breath hold. Very awkward and bulky to constantly maneuver around tight places. Hand held light is the way for me, lings don't spook often enough - you usually have plenty of time to swing your gun around and shoot.

Hey man! Great to see more Oregon spearos, where did you dive out of? Ive been trying to find some offshore spots instead of just the jetty’s

I just realized you’re at a jetty after watching longer, either way nicely done!

We dive offshore from a boat out of Bandon and Charleston. We also shore dive at Port Orford. Some really cool stuff off the cape Arago highway too. Lots of target rich options.

Check out the video “Tug of war with a Sea Lion” awesome diving but you have to share it with the sea lions and great whites…

shoot first ,than measure?

We need 22” for lingcod. They usually don’t hold still to get measured. You learn to recognize 22” or hold your fire. 😁
