to mod the close focus, you can simply snap off the focus limiter tab. this will let you turn the lens beyond the minimum printed distance, however turning it too far will cause it to unscrew, so proceed with caution.

or simply remove/loosen the tiny screw in the lower right next to the shutter mechanism. That way you don't outright break something.

Shot 2 rolls of 120 yesterday, one on my 120N and one on my 120 GTLR (my favorite Holga). The shutter on my 120N is so hard to press I'll be surprised if any come out since I shot handheld (and I might retire that 120N). Plan to shoot 2 or 3 more rolls this week and maybe I'll end up with 3 decent ones to post. I'll definitely try shooting without a mask (never thought of that) so thanks for the tip.

Wow!! I did not know that you could shoot without a frame. Thank you for that info. How many photos do you get then w/o the frame? And have you experimented much with the Holga & double exposures? You also compose photos really well. I haven’t looked yet, but I hope you have a video offering composition tips.

You get 12 photos per roll without the frame. I haven’t done a ton of multiple exposures with the Holga, but they are super fun!
