Hello Vince, We do hope you stayed tuned in after hearing the price 🙂 . For us, this is one of the nicest sites we have ever stayed on and by no means the most expensive. The leisure complex was first class and the spacious and scenic touring park puts others to shame. We had the most enjoyable walks through National Trust land, visited ruins, a heritage centre and a little seaside town. We enjoyed dining in our caravan each evening with a lovely view and a sunset. All this and we didn’t spend a single penny all week. We had a marvellous time and made lots of memories too. Good value we think 👍. Kind regards, Rob & Gail 😀

First stayed on here in the 1970s and stayed on a number of times since but hadn’t stayed on here for over 20 years. We didn’t manage to get A9. But you are spoiled for choice. Excellent video Rob. What a lovely place it is indeed. We go 3 times a year when the kids are on school holidays. October half tern, over New Year and February half term. Weve just returned last Sunday. We love the facilities there as well as being in such a nice area. Also when the schools are on holiday most if not all of those pitches are full. Fabulous place.

Great vlog Rob and Gail - looks a fantastic site but some of the approach roads look a little narrow - we went to the beach at Silverdale but it has signs up for sinking sand so we dare not go on it with the dogs 🤦‍♂️

Hi there Shaun and Sally, We were surprised at the roads too but at least not much traffic at this time of year. I suppose sticking to the arrival / departure times avoids meeting oncoming touring vehicles. It certainly wouldn’t put us off going again, it really was fantastic 👍. @ Hello Rob , don’t know why my comment hasn’t gone through??, anyway if I can remember correctly I replied with, your car has a brilliant electrical system for towing, our car pulls like a dream when towing, just before Christmas we were coming back from the Cotswolds and the sat nav for some strange reason decided to take us through Birmingham 😫, and I had to do a right turn and then another really quick right turn again to get onto the M6 and the car and caravan never went out of control, so what I am trying to say is our car a Kia sportage and caravan is the perfect combination, I went on line first for free to check out if the Kia was suitable and it gave three green ticks ✅ , thanks for sharing your video Rob, and we are looking forward to more of your arriving and site walk abouts 👍👍.

Another good’n from you two thank you, you certainly had good weather. Can’t say it’s been too kind to us in 2024, Mrs D spent hours unsuccessfully looking for wooly gloves when at Tyddyn Du in June, hail shower and torrential downpour at Poolsbrooke a few weeks ago returning from Broadway. Off to investigate Troutbeck Head on Tuesday only an hours skip over the A66 for us so nice and handy, oil skins at the ready it is October after all. Regards to you both Chris & Mrs D.

Don’t think we’ve had many weeks without any rain at all this year. We recall a very wet weekend at Poolsbrook on our very first outing with the caravan. Our one and only ever standard pitch too ! This site was a breath of fresh air Tommo, literally 👍. It was a joy to stay here. We too like privacy hedges and a pitch with a view. Hello there Rob and Gail. I have a couple of questions for both of you.... What are most useful gadgets or cooking utensils/vessels (i.e for weight saving) you have come across for your caravan? Gail, I am also gluten free, so I'm wondering what meals you're cooking while away in the caravan. I'm getting a bit fed up with pasta and rice dishes 😂 Keep the fantastic videos coming 🙂👍

Hi there Scott and thank you for your comment. Our most useful lightweight item is our Dry:Soon heated towel airer from Lakeland, although we realise not every washroom has space for one / or would need one. Another favourite gadget is a small plug in ioniser air purifier to neutralise the air after cooking salmon etc. Not exactly weight saving but very handy for cooking outdoors is the electric Lakeland Remoska. It’s a low wattage 400w, one temperature setting cooking pan. Gail sometimes cooks sausage and onions, bacon & egg and skinned and boned chicken thighs. She uses it all the time at home but doesn’t do an awful lot of cooking in the caravan. After a full day out exploring we enjoy throw together easy meals such as cold meats, cheese and pickles, salads as well as pasta and rice dishes 😂. Pleased you are enjoying our videos 👍. It’s a brilliant tow car but it did unfortunately let us down twice (same air suspension problem) and two holidays were cancelled the same year. We’re both Derbyshire born and bred. In my early videos I tried to speak without the dialect but it came out robotic 😂 . My line of work is civil engineering so I have a practical mind. Thanks for your encouragement 👍. Hello John, we’re going to have to pull our socks up and do better next time 🙂. We didn’t eat in the cafe so our filming was from a distance, with no menu in sight. However, we can tell you there is a gluten free fish and chip shop in Arnside called Arnside Chippy, just past the row of shops around the bend in the road. As for the bus stop we only saw it as we departed site for home so I took a quick clip and was slotted in with some careful editing 😁. We do know the bus goes to Silverdale and Carnforth. Thank you Mark, pleased you enjoyed the video 👍. We just use the mobile hotspot on the phone rather than installing the Avtex or Maxview Wi-Fi with SIM card. Don’t really want to pay for a second SIM as it would only get used when we go away. One negative using the hotspot is, depending on area, we sometimes find the signal is weak inside the caravan. Hi David, It’s really annoying when this happens. We’ve noticed other regular viewers comments are missing too. Clearly a glitch in the system, but not helpful to a small channel like ours.
