hi!! I also have pretty bad under eye bags even if I sleep well & I can confirm that it can be linked to allergies (both food and environmental), at least definitely in my case. I think the way it works is that your allergies cause inflammation or congestion that exacerbates the puffiness and darkness -- also, if your sleep is of poor quality from allergies/congestion, has the same effect. hope it gets better!
