It really is beautiful and atrocious at the same time. This year I learned that its easier to be on the road with traffic than it is to be on foot with the tourist pedestrians. WILD!

3 weeks ago I left my house at 2:30 pm in the Bronx at 23 st and 6 av in Mathattan the quietest until I pass through time square the traffic is crazy there is no respect for those who travel. It's been a long time since I went down to the city to return. They get up at 8:00 pm, it's the same as rush hour, but I took it as a long scooter ride, one hour and 20 minutes back to my home.

Thanks for coming along for this ride Jorge. That's crazy that you passed through those parts of the city during those times lol. It's freaking crazy and you're absolutely right. There's a complete disregard for the safety of others by all the drivers, delivery folks, and the pedicabs. Time Square, Fifth Avenue, and 34th Street is sheer chaos during this time of year lol

Thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the channel! I hate to admit it but I think you're right. There comes a point that the cost of living just doesn't match what we're getting out of the city. A little bit of nature and quiet would really do us some good but I've said that a few times in the past and always end up returning to NYC lol. I'm so jealous of your access to the beach! That would be a dream to be able to ride a PEV there and relax while taking in the sights. Maybe Florida will be in the cards for us one day but I hear from my friends down there that it's insanely expensive now.

thanks for joining me on this ride! I'm glad you enjoyed the night footage and thank you for the positive feedback! It took a long time to dial in the night settings because I don't have a film background. So tuning the manual settings to be able to keep up with the range of lighting in NYC was pretty tough lol. I actually cant ride with these settings through Time Square at night because it gets completely blown out as if I were riding in daylight with night settings!

you're very welcome! Glad I could help. Just remember to always gear up when riding these things. At the end of the day, a crash at any speed with out any protection can be life changing. Make sure you get a full faced helmet. Body armor is highly recommended but not necessary. Once you have that, enjoy the heck out of it! It's an incredibly freeing experience to be able to zip around at those speeds on a high spec scooter!

@Sean74218
@Sean74218 11 ай бұрын
@@eyebahnrides I was mostly looking at the 28ah version because of the price. What are the differences between the 25ah and the 30ah? If it's worth it, I'll choose the 30ah.
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 11 ай бұрын
@@Sean74218 it depends on use case. The 25ah is made of generic battery cells while the 30ah is made of LG21700 M50 cells. As far as capacity, its not much of a difference but the quality of the LG cells are a big difference. I like having the higher top speed and being able to maintain it for a few miles longer because of the higher quality cells. It's a bonus that I get a few more miles of range out of the 30ah pack. In my opinion, it's always worth going with quality cells and the larger capacity when given that option. I get that it's nice to have the lower price point but I would prefer they didn't give us the option and just give all the customers the higher quality cells. From there just charge a price in the middle of the two options since you can forward the savings of not paying to manufacture the generic pack. I hope this helps!

thanks for joining me for the ride! Oh no, I hope y'all can still ride as long as the roads are clear of snow/ ice. I ride all year round but Im sure it's not as cold here as it is up there. I think the coldest temperature I rode in last winter was 9 degrees F (-12 degrees C) during some "polar vortex". For the most part our temperature in NYC stays around 15-30 degrees F in the winters and we've had little to now snow the last 4 years. Thats a good idea if you're storing for the winter! You can knock out all your upgrades with out having to worry about how long its going to take since riding season is months away.

Born and raised in Astoria Queens, moved 50 miles away from the city and I've never regretted it. I park in front of my house, the Metro North is 10 minutes away, super markets are within walking distance, and riding my Nami is a blast with the open roads. Any time I go into the city now, I question how I made it there for 30+ years. The congestion and traffic just gets worse and worse. NYC has this fuck all attitude and I just got tired of it. Idk food for thought. But man, that Klima is a great looking scooter. I went to Fluid in BK the other day and checked it out, it's a sick looking scooter. People say it's smaller. Lol, it's definitely less wide but it is NOT smaller. But shout out to you for going through 5th ave! and another great vid! love it.

thanks for coming along on this ride Tony, glad you enjoyed it! I grew up in Astoria near PS166 too and spent most of my life in and out of Queens. Every time I see videos of places out of NYC and read things like this, it makes me want to move. I always cracked jokes about Staten Island growing up, but now I'm like - that place is real nice especially by the ferry and down by Father Cap. It's close enough to the city so I can still get to work but far enough away where we can finally have the space we we want! I know what you mean about being sick of the IDGAF attitude that's now taken over the city. I know everyone has always called NYC cold and calloused but NYers were always pretty caring. I agree with you. The scooter isn't actually that much smaller but its a noticeable difference the way people view it in my building. The Klima's form factor and design allows it to blend in much more than the Burn e did lol. I do notice the difference in weight and size ducking and weaving through the city.

@@ItsTonyAldo lol yea man, that area was the place growing up. Everything from movies to bars to loungers we had it all lol! I miss the Burn E out mostly out of nostalgia. I had it for quite a while. The pros of not having to deal with the stupidity of people in my building far outweigh the nostalgia and missing the suspension!

Thanks for watching the video and thank you for the kind words. I try to keep my edits simple to give a more seamless experience but most people don't notice that it takes much more work to do that then just overly manipulating the footage. Even color matching the two cameras takes a while for an amateur! Since this type of content is also "one take", you can't really make mistakes with your delivery when recording lol. hahaha Since I've lived in Silver Spring, Crystal City, and Woodbridge before, I told my wife I'd be open to moving back down there. The company I work for now, asked me before if I'd be interested in helping them with a DC office in the future and I said yes. So my wife and I agreed that we'll seriously revisit the discussion if the opportunity actually comes up. Everything changes if I can pursue KZbin full time in the future. At that point, where ever I go is where the content will be! East Coast probably still makes the most sense since I can still make it to the NYC events which is still a HUB for PEVs You're right Andrew. Scooters and PEVs were everywhere when we visited DC last year.

thanks for coming along on this ride Nic! Holidays in NYC is beautiful and intense at the same time! The crazy thing is, it's only going to get worse as we get closer to the New Year. After that, we're back to normal levels of tomfoolery lol. It's definitely an experience for tourists. A client of mine told me that she was having such an amazing time in the city but the "romantic image" she had of the holidays here was shattered by the sheer volume of people at all the tourist places (ice skating at rockefeller under the tree, strolling through central park, shopping on fifth etc lol). It was a bad decision on my part to try and get around the bus like that, but I was just kind of following the guy in front of me 😅. He definitely saw me because we made eye contact in his side mirror. That's kind of why I got a bit mad at that point because he sped up the moment we made eye contact. Wait, you're in France?

Just did my first ride with my new Klima Max an hour ago... I was so impatient I left with 30% battery and barely had time to enjoy it! The thing is an absolute beast - and honestly I keep hearing it's smaller than the Burn-E but it's still huge! What I wouldn't give to blast around NYC like you do... Brussels sure doesn't have the same charm (and disregard for scooters)!
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 11 ай бұрын
congrats on the first ride! Wait till you get it to 100% battery, you're really going to get a feel for how powerful it is for a smaller scooter. hahaha I totally understand what you mean by the size. I was so spoiled by the Burn E that this looks tiny next to it in comparison, but that's probably why the crazy people were so afraid of the Burn E compared to the Klima. If you think it's huge, imagine a non PEV person seeing the Burn E for the first time lol. I'm sure Brussels has its own charm when riding through it! I remember when my wife and I were in Sicily earlier this year, I just kept imagining how epic it would be to ride a highpowered scooter or ebike through those tight streets while seeing all the beautiful architecture. I just googled Brussels and it totally gave me that vibe and your city is stunning! Are they heavily regulated there like the rest of the EU/ UK?

No cruise control, top speed hard locked to 25km/h... I finally managed to keep my hands off it long enough for it to charge to 100% and I can honestly say coming from a Max G2 this thing is intimidating! X full send (without turbo mind you) is out of this world! I don't feel self conscious about the full face motorcycle helmet anymore - this is is a real vehicle in every sense of the word. I did find some oddities like the battery % dropping a lot at once to come back up quickly afterwards when doing a heavy pull.Battery sag perhaps ? Managed to do 45km with 41% battery remaining at the end so I guess the battery is fine. You're right, Brussels does have its charms!

Thanks for coming along for the ride and welcome to the channel! It was 35 degrees F (1.5 degrees C) in this video and you definitely need the heated gloves when riding. For a long time, I tried to just wear ski gloves/ insulated mits but they don't work when you're moving this fast. These gloves are a brand called Wasoto and I purchased them on Amazon. I've had them for one year that they're great so far. The battery doesn't last as long as last year but they're enough for commuting. The coldest temperature I've ridden with these on is 9 degrees F (-12 degrees C). My hand was still pretty comfortable despite the cold but after 30 minutes of riding my hands started to get cold.

thanks for coming along for this ride! I'm sure the snow is coming because they're predicting that it's going to be the coldest and snowiest winters we've had in a decade because we're long overdue for a blizzard! Honestly, I'm not even sure. My wife and I have the conversation when it comes up but it doesn't lead to anything since its all "theoretical". Our careers, home, family, friends, and everything we know is here in NYC. My job has asked me if I'd be interested in helping them expand into DC in the future, so that might be something that we explore once it actually comes up. However, everything changes if I'm blessed enough to become a full-time content creator here on KZbin. At that point, I can make videos from anywhere and the businesses that I'm involved in will likely determine where we end up then! I know there will be more pressure to create multiple videos per week and I'll likely be taking on more companies as partners and for reviews, but I'm ready for the challenge (I'm currently turning away alot of companies that ask for reviews/ partnerships because I don't want to put my name behind a product that's just a rebranded clone with poor quality battery cells. I've also had to turn away certain companies that have really high demands for content even though the opportunity is great because I work 50-60 hours a week outside of KZbin). I might even be open to leaving the US in the future but we'll see where all this takes us lol

I've never really heard anything bad about the vsett10+, in fact, I've only heard great things from its owners. The only other thing I could think of with in that price point is a used Nami or used Wolf Warrior X. As you know, I love the scooters that Nami creates because its water resistant, comfortable, and have great power. If you don't need the water resistance then you can't really go wrong with any of those options. Also, the emove roadrunner was quite fun when I tried it. I think those range between 1500- 2000. Thanks for coming along on this ride and welcome to the comments section! The helmet is a TSG Pass Pro. I purchased this from a local PEV Shop but you can find it on Amazon as well. I have a link for it in the video's description

Hey so I am getting bored of my Klima, nothing gets the aderlaine junkie out of me until I have the Kabbo King gt pro. I want to upgrade to that scooter and sell the Klima do you think driving in and out of Manhattan traffic on streets on GT Pro is much more dangerous than the Klima because of the turning and weight or would you say if your already going in nyc streets with your Klima, the GT Pro safety wise isn't a whole lot more dangerous than this
@eyebahnrides

The thing with large heavy high powered scooters in NYC is its tough in general to get around. I believe the GT Pro has a more "instant power delivery" compared to the controllers on the GT, GTR and the Burn E so it makes it tougher to control in low speed situations. So navigating highly dense areas and trying to control that front end when the road conditions aren't perfect is going to be tougher. Honestly, it's all pretty dangerous but its the best way to get around. Other thing to consider is how your building will perceive the GT pro. Unless you live in a home or with have a landlord/neighbors that don't care, the larger scooters are a bit tougher to live with. But, if you're ok with learning how to ride it and you're ok with storage, the GT pro will be a great scooter for the rough roads

I gotta ask, and curious. Why E-scooter drivers doesnt have a removable seats? and Isn't it tiring to drive while standing too long?
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 11 ай бұрын
thanks for coming along on this ride Allen! Most of us don't use the seats on these scooters mostly because it's ugly lol. Also, NYC regulations states that "stand up scooters" are legal and the you may run the risk of getting stopped if your scooter looks like a moped that needs to be registered. I've done some pretty long rides with a stand up scooter and its not bad as long as you can change your stance!

Have you thought about a smaller city like Phoenix that is still a melting pot of cultures. Even having a small yard and garage is great when you're over 30 and slowing down. Thanks for sharing your interesting rides.

thanks for coming along for the ride and welcome to the channel John! Honestly, I've never really thought about it because I always said that I'm a NYer through and through so there's no place for me but NYC. However, things are changing now that my wife and I are a bit more mature. I've never really thought about Phoenix before but I'll definitely look into it. My clients have told me to go to Austin, DC, Vegas, Denver, and Nashville so I've only really looked into those cities. The place I mentioned in the video that disappointed me was DC actually lol. I lived there for 3 years when I opened and ran sales offices for my old job back in 2006. We went there recently with my sister/brother in law and we had a blast.

u perfer riding on x/or turbo or C mode?
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 11 ай бұрын
Thanks for coming along on this ride Evangelos! My C mode is completely custom, so I actually prefer riding in it 75% of the time. I turned my C mode into "Commute" so I have the acceleration turned down while keeping the motor output high. It's just more comfortable to ride on a daily basis. I had the scooter on X Mode in this video because I thought the roads were going to be a bit more open sine it was later in the day lol

thats great dude! I think C is more comfortable than X but tried turbo 90% of time. I lived in Hells Kitchen for three years. I was on the Kabbo Matins I got on frost street with Chuck, im In Houston Texas for the year. I upgrated to the Klima just this month but man I miss with a passion zipping around in nyc. Houston roads are horrible to many potholes. Cant wait to come back to hells kitchen next year on my Klima @@eyebahnrides

You know bro got money when all his gripes about New York are based in crowding. Idgaf about the people, I can deal with that. He wasn't even in any real danger in this video. What most New Yorkers complain about the city is the MONEY.. It is insanely expensive to live here and is getting worse. Not a problem for Eyebahn tho, he's more concerned about seasonal foot traffic lol

🤔 I spent a good quarter of the video talking about how expensive the cost of living is and how we want to leave NYC. We all have our struggles, some of us just don't air our dirty laundry and drama on KZbin for views and likes. But to each their own
