The song is based off the movie/novel 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', as you see in the video there were reference points toward the movie like the Red Car on the highway and the casino. I don't fully remember what the premise or plot of the movie but I just remember that they had loads of drugs in their car and were on a huge drug binge and were hallucinating so all the animal things like the bats flying and lizard people are the side effects of the drugs they did. "He who makes a beast out of himself gets rid of all the pain of being a man." I don't know if this is the real meaning of the quote but what I got from it was that doing drugs is making a beast out if yourself and how people use drugs to 'coupe' with pain is the 'gets rid of the pain of being a man' part.
