Correct on progression of relationship. Lorrie didn't want to record this song because it was pitched to her after her husband Keith Whitley's death. She would not listen past the something in blue verse because that was her life with her husband and it ended with her in black. Finally her assistant made her listen to it in a hotel room before a show. Lorrie hid in the bathtub because she was scared the last verse would be black and she couldn't handle that after losing her husband. She was pleasantly surprised and decided to record the song.

1st red dress is how she got him, green dress she beat out another girl, while their wedding, blue is baby, got the red dress to respark the relationsip
@susieh11413 жыл бұрын
Yes the last red dress is her trying to get the fire back in the relationship after the baby.

She runs through her relationship remembering the dresses she bought for him, then gets another red dress to wake his interest again.

This her song to Keith Whitley her husband. Now you need to do "Tell Lori I love her" his song he wrote for her to do at their wedding. He died before he could record in studio so the only recording is on a tape recorder
@dustyhead31263 жыл бұрын
@@billw7250 I'm pretty sure he sent the recording to a friend that was going to preform it at their wedding or at least that was story on his documentary

The song is about her relationship from beginning to hopefully not the end when she's trying to put the spark back into it

There are two songs that I really would like you to react to ... Lorrie Morgan singing If you Came Back From Heaven ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2KrY4l_jrR1ptU it was a song that means a lot to her personally because she wrote it after her beloved father died from heart surgery complications and of course her husband Keith Whitley died of an alcohol overdose when she had to leave him to go to a contractual concert out of town. If it hadn't been for Kris Kristopherson who pushed her to write it, we wouldn't never have heard it. What a gem of a song. Of course, after a loved one passes on, most people say 'Oh, if I could have 5 more minutes' well, here's another great singer Scott McCreery singing it. Another great song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJWzdXWLbrJ2bsU

It's the progression of the relationship. The beginning of the video is the long relationship that's gotten dull.... Then the song goes through her memories of the red dress she wore when she met him, then she cycles back to the red dress to spice it up again.
