Keith Whitley had one of the most recognizable voices in Country music. He had great success before he left us too soon. Lorrie has a lovely voice. She is still touring. Great request Nicole. What a wonderful reaction Harri.

@chrismorgan.9153 You are totally right, Lorrie was away touring herself, when she should have been at home with her beloved husband who loved her so very much indeed. Pity Lorrie Morgan had different ways to live and get away from Keith. She should have been there to take care of her husband Keith, she then would have had time to call for the emergency services to come and pick Keith up and maybe saved his life, but no as l said Lorrie was a good time girl and a run around. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

The two of them were married and I wouldn't be surprised if Keith wrote the song, it sounds like something he would write. He died in his 30s. Lorrie is considered one of the queens of country music.

Keith was something for sure, and yes i think he sounds much more seasoned vocally , i hear George Jones Phrasing and Merle Haggard/ John Anderson tones all wrapped in one, but with his own twist, GJ and MH influenced so many singer, Lorrie super clean and precise, great reaction H

This song always chokes me up. I love his voice. He was scheduled to perform at the rodeo in Jasper, Tx near where i live less than a week lafter he died. The organizers scrambled to find a replacement & booked a locally popular Houston singer which was Clint Black. His career skyrocketed after that. That was a great little rodeo but like many good things it's gone with the wind haha. Clint had some good songs but he was no Keith Whitley.

Lorrie Morgan and Keith Whitley were married until Keith died in 1989. She is still very much in love with him. He was only 34 years old. He died from alcohol poison. He has a smooth and relaxing voice. He was very talented.
