If you start at verse 18 of Romans 1 you will see what Paul is talking about. He's talking about the worship practices of idolatry. Paul even tells us that 'they' (those who once knew God) were now worshiping man-made objects made in the likeness of mortals, animals, birds and reptiles. Sacred shrine temple prostitutes were also a part of pagan idolatry and this is where the sexual aspect comes into Paul's text. Romans 1 has NOTHING to do with homosexuality, per se. In fact, the sexual practices affiliated with idolatry were no doubt performed by heterosexuals. There is SO much ignorance within Christianity that it's a wonder it still survives as a legitimate religion. In the Old Testament it was ok to have sex with and marry your sister. Today it’s not ok. As you can see laws change. Some people are not interested in having a life with the opposite sex However they are interested in pursuing a love life. So with the amendment of our law allowing same sex couples to marry freely gives them the freedom to do this and that’s where “the idea of two women being. United” comes from. Everyone has their own interpretation of God and their own personal relationship with him. We all may or may not have to answer to him depending on your religious background. I feel that the best thing we can and should do in life is respect each other’s differences because we only have one life to live. Why waste it bickering and stepping on each other’s toes? They don’t need to know about a man and a woman marrying or having babies nor do they even need to know about same sex couples marrying. Allow children to count to 3 and learn their ABC’s. Allow children to run around in the park and play hide and go seek or tag like we did as children. As far as being gay and keeping it to yourself I somewhat agree. In terms of fighting for a cause like equality no I feel that it should not be kept to yourself.
