When I built my car I wish I had you wire it I haven’t had any problems but to see the work you do and the passion you put into it. I know it would last a long time. I’ve got a lot of money tied up in my ecu my msd the child’s all the wiring the Davis box injecters relays he’ll the battery was 600 dollars if I ain’t mistaken.

I’m a regular car guy with a few mustangs at home. I soldered everything in my notch when I put it together. I watched your whole video to learn about crimping. Wish I saw it a year ago. It would’ve been a lot easier to crimp wires then to solder every one. I’ve never seen a proper way to crimp and make a solid trustworthy connection so I played it safe and soldered every wire. I’d like to see them actually be crimped though. Thanks I’m going to check out your other videos.

Well, Packard/Delphi 150.2 pull to lock also uses three different female cavities, depending on the wire size, same goes for the pins. Not only Deutch. And Casper actually makes male cavities ( aftermarket), if you need to make extensions or short swappable harness ( I had to, for stupid Williams Controls pedal that keep breaking wires right at the connector).

Great video. You can get the crimp style pins for the Deutsch instead of the barrel style and use the economy crimpers.

i love them little douche bags! also fwiw MSD sells crimping dies for Deutsch connectors it works in their spark plug crimp tool msd 3510 it works with msd 35051. poor mans crimp tool thanks for sharing! I use the DT series throughout my entire car. THe detent features on the pins are robust and provide an almost infinite service life. I have only ever had one fail after 12 years of use. Deutsche also used to make bulkhead connectors that are like the DT series, body is plastic and they worked well. Much cheaper than the machined body ones. thanks Devin good video as usual

IWISS crimpers work OK on Deutch pins.

Working in the aerospace industry, I would never use any cannon plug that has the three nipples on them for locking down the mating plug. They locking nipples wear down over time. Any company selling you those have not used them in the field and seen the failures of them. They were designed for interior cabins on planes and helicopters, but have since been replaced by the positive locking cannon plugs. Duetsch Autosport connectors are way overpriced. You can get Ampehnol connectors at a much better cost from an aerospace connector supply house, they are used on many commercial and military jets and helipcopters. Just food for thought.
