Will be following your instructions this weekend, I had the Sniper installed with stock Dizzy and Coil which was fine, Installed HyperSpark system and getting backfire condition so I am suspecting the jagged issue as discussed. also my IAC is at 30% so wil be readjusting the Idle screw and IAC together with tuning the Sniper

I have a rebuilt 350 with vortec heads . And mild cam . Running 308 gears turbo 350 2200 stall . Would this be a good initial timing to start with?

So my question is: are all the versions for timing the Hyperspark compatible between models? I use a SNIPER 2300 with the complete Hyperspark master system…can I go beyond the original version 1?

Great video!!! I just installed the quadrajet and hyperspark system on my 1970 olds 442-w30 and it's running like crap..I think it's because of the holley standard programming parameters they installed on the wizard...So i will try your suggestions...

Can you show us the same thing with the AFR table

Very knowledgeable thanks for the info I’ve owned my Sniper some 2018 car has never had a custom tune or anything of that sort and it’s definitely hurting the potential of my engine. Keep grinding and shining homie I will be subscribing and following the channel! Big thumbs up 👍

so I am about to put the config in the car now but just realized that the current config is 15 degree and the V5 version is 25 with WOT at 45, is that way to much for SBC. the video how to do this is great I learned a lot but the two configs are way off on timing what is a good table for stock 327/300HP 67 sbc? 15 initial and 36 or so WOT

You could copy and paste your old timing table into the new v5 table. That's what I would do if I have a good timing table for the engine. It's hard to day if 25 is to much as I don't know much about your combo.

Cool tip, thanks! So then, once you load the smoother table, how easy is it to modify? Say you want to change the RPM that "centrifugal" timing is all in? At that point do you have to hand-edit cell-by-cell?
@robartino96875 жыл бұрын
Technically not cell by cell, but if you perform a data log you can see exactly where your engine is in terms of RPM and kPa or vacuum and you can change those specific cells to whatever timing you want, say 42 for cruise. Or if you want to go all in at 2000 rpm you simply change the cells values. It's very easy.

The neat thing about having timing control is you can give specifics to your engine at all different loads when you can not do that with a centrifugal distributor. Its all in no matter what at 2500 rpms and that is some times not optimal most of the time.

15 degrees of initial timing Is that before TDC or after? or is it just say 15 degrees on the handheld? Just ordered this stuff got the Ignition box got the coil waiting on the Distributor from JEGS here in Riverside/ SOCAL I hope this thing does not get me in over my head doing the basic operation HEI on my Chevy 350 seemed easy enough.. I thought the box was supposed to simplify everything even more...Wont panic yet although I have been guilty of being a SPAZ from time to time HA HA
@socalstreetcars70545 жыл бұрын
15 degrees of timing is BTDC, before top dead center. The box, are you referring to CD box? Once you have it installed its super cool.

@@socalstreetcars7054 Cool thanks for the info. I got the whole Hyperspark kit one piece at a time kinda pricey but it comes with the Coil and the Hyperspark box and the Hyperspark Distributor I think they call it Hall Effect. Everyone is calling it ignition box so I just say the same. I am posting to You Tube as I go along. This is for My Aunts old 64 C10 Fleet/Short Bed it is not perfect but I am trying to make the thing reliable she wants to drive by herself to Des Moines Next Summer. She is 70 years old and wants this adventure so I am doing all I can to make it as reliable as it can be. So I Upgraded the Brakes, Suspension, Wiring and last to do is Add the A/C. I Really appreciate the help I get stuck every now and again ...Trying to make this a zero fail project as much as possible so even the rear end was rebuilt by 4 wheel parts in Riverside man that cost more than everything else but they claim its bullet proof guess we will find out.

@@Jeffagarcia66 Just remember to keep the orange and orange and brown wire away from all the sniper wires those wires will give you EMI/RFI and cause problems.

@@socalstreetcars7054 Cool I will route them away from all of it I forgot and put in a loom. Distributor just came today from Jegs looks very cool next to the monster sized HEI ...Thanks I will let you know how it goes

Why would holley give us such a bad curve to begin with? Not everyone can do this retiming shit!
