Yes to your creamed Spinach! First time I tried it was in a Spinach & Bacon soup, served in a bread bowl ! Love at first bite. Last year was our first planting of Spinach mostly to test just how cold hardy it is. Planted as soon as the frost was out of the ground, about a month before our avg last frost of May 9th. Grew like an out of control weed, could not stop it. Then we had to find some recipes. Our favorite is a Spinach, Bacon, Onion and Cheese Strada. Last year it was Hammerhead, this year we're growing Regal Giant. (the varieties) First cutting/harvest this weekend! Can't wait! The thing we love the most though is, the color green in the garden during what we call, Mud Season here in Maine, and it inspires us to plant even more. Get in the soil. Neighbors see it and say, "What's that growing in your garden?" Us, "Peas, Garlic, Spinach, Onions, Carrots, Herbs, and 1/2 of our Potatoes, and if inclined, all Brassicas" Them, "Little early ain't it?" I just look around, look back at them, Smile and say "No." Them, "Aren't you afraid of frost?" I say, "Yes, but they aren't" (pointing at the garden) 😊 Happy Gardening All and TYFS

Another GREAT Nancy meal! Happy to learn that Asian spinach is sweeter than the spinach normally grown in the US. I'll have to check my seeds to see if I've got any Asian spinach. I love spinach, and to think that there's a sweeter version is just heaven! 2:17 just perfect!!!

The most important reason I love your channel is that you two express the glory of God ✝️ 🙏 ❤️. The next is to see the love between you two!! And 3rd is that you show from seed to harvest. I am growing roselle hibiscus. It's one of my favorite teas. Will you please do a video on those? My husband and I live in West Virginia (and our "kids" Athena-Tina our shepherd and Brandon our beagle). So all of the 6 hibiscus I planted will be an annual, but one I will be bringing one in over the winter. I like your cute dog too!! Thank you for your videos. May God richly bless you, keep you under His wing and also all of your family and friends 🙏 ❤️ ✝️

Hollis and Miss Nancy, I have to tell you.. You both are such a blessing. I live in Orlando and have been totally frustrated with trying to make a small garden work. I started watching you folks and behold, I have seedlings growing for a little summer crop of okra and southern peas. My question is, i forgot to put bone meal and blood meal in my step up pots. Can I do a top dressing and water that in? Thank you for any advise you can throw my way. A fan forever! Ed.

Such a huge garden and everything grows so well. How to crisp the lettuce? I hate limp. I washed, spun in lettuce spinner and refrigerate wrapped in paper towel and put into zip lock baggie. Result? Limp lettuce. It was even romaine lettuce. Also if I bury food scrapes into existing beds, very small garden space, how long before it is ok to plant in that area. Thanks, love the videos.
