I love the slow color shift from red to purple to blue to teal as the fight goes on and the boss gets harder, very cool

This is a very cool boss and i love how it feels like it actually could be in the game. Though I dont like the color shift from red to purple to blue, because even though i know its supposed to represent the flames getting hotter as the fight goes on, it takes away the whole scarlet red vibe of the grimm troupe and that it doesnt make sense since everything in the grimm troupe is described to be scarlet red and yet at the very end it changes color.

The color change is meant to symbolize the difficulty, red is hell-like and purple and blue are kind of like even more difficult than hell (My Assumption)

Difficult, but not unfair. That's why I love Grimm so much and this reflects that very well. Most of the attacks are well telegraphed and easy to dodge once you've mastered it.

I understand everyone has their preferences in combat but why didn’t they make use of nail arts or spells? A well timed dash or shriek could’ve dealt more damage, and I’m fairly certain the shriek provides invincibility frames when casted.

Descending dark has i-frames, i think shriek does not since i have never seen anyone use it as an i-frame
