I don't think that he has been freed. Banished may be the word. He doesn't look to be imprisoned by grimm like the radiance would do, more like the way the white king would do. Also, he says he doesn't like to defy his master. So when he betrays him, grimm banishes brumm from the troupe.

Here's what I believe. Grimm needed to come to Hallownest and perform his ritual to keep the Nightmare Heart alive, and allow Grimm to reincarnate himself through the Grimmchild. Since you banished them from Hallownest, Grimm dies off and everyone returns to their normal selves, losing any recollection of the Troupe's existance.

Many people really hate this song but I really love it. Hollow Knight is honestly kinda sad and many areas are dark. Very few areas in the game are brightly lit. This song is one of the few upbeat songs in the game and it just makes me happy to know that another bug gets a happy ending. Most bugs don’t.

A lot of people hate this music, but i honestly love it. Do i think its better than dirtmouth's theme? Absolutely no, its not even close. But i Love watching the town spring to life. At first its just Elderbug and you, then Cornifer and Iselda move in, then Sly, Jiji, Bretta, Zote, Tiso, the gravedigger, and finally Nymm comes to town, making the residents happy with his tunes, and even if Cloth moves in im sure she can find happiness there given enough time. This song perfectly shows how amazing that is. You nearly single handedly turn a town about to be forgotten by history into a blooming little community. And who knows how many more will move in once the Knight ends his journey. Also it gives the dirtmouth theme a feeling of nostalgia. You get so used to this theme that when you play the game again Dirtmouth feels so much more welcoming and calming

Honestly I feel bad for the grave digger, when I first met him I just learned I could dream nail people to see there thoughts, so after that I used the dream nail on everyone I met, however I didn't know it would absorb the ghosts and essentially killed the grave digger by accident

I mean really it depends what you think. Dreamnailed ghosts canonically don’t go to the afterlife after being dreamnailed, they can go whenever they want. This is seen with Cloth the most. She stays after her death to “savor the moment” and then dissapears later on to hopefully reunite with Nola in the afterlife. So dreamnailing ghosts almost definitely takes their essence into the dream nail for all eternity. Now whether this is better than Hollow Knight’s afterlife, none of us are sure. But the ghosts can go whenever they want, so the ones that are staying are there because they want to be, or at least think it’s better than the alternative

Songs can be compared in more ways than just their tone, and even then comparing such different but vaguely simular sounding songs is ALSO valid because beyond their simularities as melodies they also serve the same role in the game (being background music for Dirtmouth). Their contrasting tones clash so well that they affect the way you percieve the enviornment they are played in. Beyond the tone its also easy to compare them from a story and game stand point, as in what these two songs mean at their respective points in them. The fading town vs the town you brought back to life. Dirtmouth being calm background music to make a simple location more memorable vs Accordion Nymm's presense being a reward for banishing the troupe. Videogame music, movie music, tv show music etc, has several factors to it beyond their sound, which means thats its just incorrect to say that songs from them with intentional simularities shouldnt be compared. Even outside these storytelling enviorments id argue thats incorrect as well in certain cases, such as when a musician makes two very different songs about the same topic.
