As someone who has played Hollow knight for a couple of years, its amazing to see your near flawless movement and consistency. Especially minor timesaves such as getting hit out of a pickup animation by an enemy that was lured into that exact position are an absolute joy to see. Its truely fascinating to see how far this games speedrun community has come. Huge congratulations on your sub 3 hour run and world record. You really deserve it. So smooth 2:18:22 flying past dying Quirrel 2:20:17 considering MonStah is carrying the delicate flower that was so badass 🔥 2:29:45 using cyclone drop here 😱 my heart almost stopped 2:30:10 that difficult skip succeeding with the last attempt 😱 2:33:36 lifeblood door opening + abyss opening skip 2:37:44 MonStah having just barely enough geo for the last nail upgrade (how well calculated this whole run is) Yeah beating the bosses in the main game + beating them again in the 4 pantheons + beating them YET AGAIN in P5 - that is too much man 😅. My brain is frying itself just looking at MonStah fight them over and over 3:18:12 that was so close 3:20:57 barely dodged that fireball! Congrats on sub 3 MonStahLer!!

Hollow Knight was the first game of its kind / challenge level I fought my way through (since being a good deal younger anyway) and was able to enjoy 'blind', unspoiled. Still not quite at 112% I think, but close. Having fought to achieve that much over many hours and through a metric ton of frustration, watching this I cannot imagine the amount of effort between the routing and execution. Incredibly well-done.

Absolutely godlike run! It's hard to even believe someone can be this amazing at a game like this. Every screen down to a science, every fight as close to perfect as can be as long as rng lines up, it's seriously mind blowing. Gg's! Legendary run! Its a good thing there isn't a whole lot of time for him to read chat, I can't even imagine how annoying some of that would be. People spamming "noooooo!" And "why????" every time even the slightest bit of bad rng happens. There were even a few people who would spam that stuff even when he got a gold split because they don't understand how it works lol! Must feel great to have this accomplishment under the belt and behind you. I wonder how long this legendary run will stand? My guess is quite a long time... we shall see.

It's pretty challenging to start with 112% compared to other categories, but it's doable, I know of a few runners that started with 112%

Personally? Start with meme runs! They’re often short and only slightly optimised, so you can learn the routes and actively participate in making the run better in an already existing game community. Once you’re ready you can try to use what you’ve learned to study a real route like 112 or anything else you wanna try!
