Hollow Knight - Speedrun: POH Any Bindings Former World Record Reaction

This is MonStahLer's world record speedrun for Pantheon Of Hallownest Any Bindings. This is now the former world record but this was at one point the fastest.
If you are a fan of the channel you know that I was attempting to beat all pantheons with each binding. One binding at a time. I was doing great until I made it to PoH and then hit a brick wall. I was asked to react to this video months ago and decided to see how it is done.
I can't believe how fast MonStahLer is in this PoH speedrun! The 5th pantheon is no joke and this was done super fast!

Hey, Relyea, just so you know, there were a few times where you were confused as to why MonStah took damage during a couple fights. That's because with some bosses, their beginning scream stuns you, so you can't attack, but taking damage during the scream by falling on to them gives you back control of the knight so you can damage the boss while it is screaming. Just thought to let you know!

You can also just open your charms menu at the moment the scream starts on bosses like collector or traitor lord

I am pretty sure that when the splits were calculated it took the cumulative time save up until that split, not just that boss. This would mean he didn’t save 18 seconds on markoth, but still an incredibly impressive 4 seconds, since the boss before was a fourteen seconds ahead

I think the dive is still required because otherwise you take damage and get pushed away before the scream starts, with the dive you are inside the boss and the s run out during the scream

I think shell binding actually helps the run, it let's Monstah get to one mask faster, so fury of the fallen gives a 75% damage boost, and blue masks don't stop it

something about the splits: they don't say what his time is compared to his pb for that boss specifically, it says how much time you are ahead/behind your pb, so when it has a ton of like -5 seconds in a row, that doesn't mean they are saving 5 seconds each boss, it means that after each boss, they are 5 seconds ahead of their pb, and aren't actually saving time in the boss

Hey Relyea, I saw you a few times saw "he saved this much time on this boss" thats not how livesplit works. That timesave is compared to the PB run so when a split says -5.5 that means he finished that split 5.5 seconds faster than his pb. A quick example Split 1 says -1.1 Split 2 says -2.4 in this scenario the second split only saved 1.3 seconds but compared to the entire run he saved 2.4 seconds cause of the 1.1 seconds saved in previous splits. Thats also why sometimes youll see splits in different colors. Dark green means you saved time and you are ahead of pb Light green means you lost time but you are ahead of pb Light red means you saved time but you are behind your pb Red means you lost time and are behind your pb Gold means you got the best time on that individual split you have ever gotten

I literally watched some of monstahs vids earlier, then went and "TRY" to play the 1 health charm for damage boost and died on the first boss. Im 110% just need P3 & P4 .. I never see myself getting to this sort of level..

@Rylea i don't know if you noticed but in the collector and in dung defender, he intentionally takes damage during the boss setup animation, and that allows him to hit the boss while its still doing the animation

I just wanted to mention that this is sort of out of date. The run is actually so much more optimized now. For one, they use flukenest, which has been found to do a lot more damage than first thought. It's actually amazing how creative you can be with flukenest and I would love to see you react to Spoonsei's run of P5. He has the world records in all the pantheon speedruns.
