Crazy Hollow Knight Speedrun: Any % All Glitches

This is a reaction to Krythom 's World Record Hollow Knight Speedrun. I have never seen a glitched speed run until today and it is absolutely amazing! I was totally AMAZED by the random stuff that happens in this run. I could not believe what happened with the final boss. It sounds made up.

10:07 sure! This is a trick where krythom is killing Lurian three times. This tricks the game into thinking that all three dreamers have been defeated, since he defeated a dreamer trice. So the black egg opens without thr need to kill Herrah or Monomon.

I watched this with friends a few days back and we were dying at the fact that you literally bring a god damn mountain into the final boss, it's comedy gold I swear. Imagine you're an infected, washed up knight and some small bug wakes you up, only for you to be immediately impaled by a giant crystalline rock formation

I'm pretty sure when you go through a exit/enter and it takes you to a place that you're not supposed to go is called "Wrong warping". You can see a milder version of it in Undertale speedruns, where it takes you to the correct room, but puts you somewhere different in said room Also we had the same idea when he was sinking in the water, looking for Quirrel.

I think the reason he jump off the platform in dream nail's section is because it makes the moth take less time to appear, it works on nmg too if I'm not mistaken

I’m reminded of the save storage glitch that’s used in CrossCode speedruns. They’re able to load the character from the introductory sequence (who has endgame stats and all unlocks) into the main game, and effectively have god-mode enabled because you’re still registered as level 1 and can level up to increase your stats over the max.

9:25 I'm not sure if you know this, but the timer shows how much they're ahead of their personal best, so for example they lost 0.3 seconds on that split instead of saving 5.3 seconds

I think what happened in the THK fight was that he loaded two rooms at the same time, so the game loaded both sets of assets into the same area, hence the crystals appearing in the arena.

that's similar to the blasphemous speedrun that I've done. In the game you have to collect 3 masks to go up an elevator, instead you do a glitch that skips like a third of the game and then grab a mask, then you can enter the room with another mask the wrong way which forces it to spawn twice so you can go up the elevator without having faught any of the bosses needed. Plus there's a glitch that lets you infinitely stack sword levels by entering your map while in a menu screen so you can quit out after getting the sword level but before the thing that gives you the level registers it, so you can stack them infinitely.

Based on my understanding, the game can actually load assets and geometry from one save file ino another. I think somehow he managed to get one save file into crystal peak, and then at THK he just yoinked the big rock from there and slapped it in the boss arena

From what I can tell, he's able to do all that because he switches the collision box for the knight with the box that doesn't exist in the main selection menu, so he can fall through the ceiling or the wall.

Invincibility glitch for console players. Right as you open the game get off the bench Press quick map button twice should be L or L1 Immediately after pressing quick map twice charge crystal dash and press L again. So the inputs right now should be LL(cdash)L If you can move while still holding down cdash you've done it right. Then use the teleportation ability for dreamgate which should be dream nail while holding up. When you are about to Teleport using dream gate let go of crystal dash. If you are in the same room as when you started to perform the glitch, you won't be able to access the menu if it worked. You can just change rooms to access the menu again. Inputs are LL(cdash)L ... (dreamnail) up then release when you are about to teleport. (Telegraphed by a flash). If you teleported, you released crystal dash too late. If you didn't but the glitch still didn't work you were probably too early. You have to hold crystal dash the entire time while until you release with dreamgate. Glitch wears off when you use dream gate for real, save and quit, or do a Pantheon, hall of gods challenge, etc. Does not wear off when you use the dream nail. Wears off AFTER the godhome activity. I'd also recommend you switch your jump and crystal dash controls so it's easier A side effect of the glitch is that you won't be able to pick up geo.
