It'd be helpful if there could be an overlay (perhaps in the top right) with • the hunters’ names • their appearances/skins • (icons of) their superpowers • the “who's talking” highlight (currently in the top left, but it could be combined into this) It sounds like a lot of work, but it'd make it so much easier to keep track of who's who.

The strat for the Hunters at the end is always just to stack at THK, I think introducing another win condition like getting Void Heart could help to make their decisions more involved towards the end Then again, with the lack of a time limit, if they stack you just have infinite time to power up. You just don't often need to take it

I do think I prefered when the hunters didn't have their hands held so much by getting updates on everything you acquired, especially with dreamers for example. I always liked seeing them guess at how far along you were and lose over their own incorrect expectations.

As someone who has never touched Hollow Knight, this was entertaining, the text stating your intentions and thoughts really made it engaging (along with their communication ofc). It was hard to separate the Hunters, like who's who. And at the start I thought it kept switching between Hunter and Speedrunner perspective.

That was such a fun watch! Seems like y'all have finally figured out a good ruleset that's fun for everyone involved--I know previous rules have often been very fun for fire as the speedrunner, but get boring and frustrating for hunters as they spend a lot of time waiting around, losing track, and failing the challenge before they've even realized it. You wouldn't think Steel Soul-ing the runner would work so well, but it actually made things a lot more tense and interesting!

This was my favourite one of these so far. I usually have a hard time keeping track of who's who, but having the hunters distinguished by their powers and giving them each a little intro showing their skin made it way easier to follow. Honestly the ideas for powers were so good. Phia played really well (and/or that was the most useful superpower). Shelby's power was great and I liked how they realized they could use her body to pogo. If you do this again the respawner could get fury to deal with enemies. Maybe Skitter should have been immune to enemies. Hope got the worst power and it also broke the game so I wonder else could be done. Off the top of my head: - "healing factor" hunter has hiveblood, kingsoul, quick focus, maybe grubsong; "spellcaster" hunter gets spells but their nail does zero damage to speedrunner and enemies and they have soul catcher or eater

idk if you’ve done something similar to this before, but i’ve watched quite a few of these speedrunner v hunters vids and i think it’d be cool to add more win conditions (not as a new rule, but just for an episode yk) but something SUPER random like completing the cloth storyline for example. or beating all the colos. you could even do certain random achievements like getting all the grub (which you would need the collector for obv) or all mask shards, etc. just some win condition(s) that would make you have to go out of your way to do unnecessary shit. idk the logistics of that and if it would work or not but, could be a cool idea. really enjoying these videos!!!

What is my favorite part of the game is also my favorite part of this race, which is the moment you get the mantis claw. Almost 70% of the game is open to you in that moment and that heavily reflects in the hunter’s behavior where they go from chasing him down and blocking off bottlenecks to having to take guesses and wind up losing track of him for multiple minutes
